@Haengboknam  Please make sure Sims 4 is still using the Nvidia graphics card.  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, open Config.log, and find the GPU listed about 30 lines down.  If you see the AMD graphics chip instead, let me know.

If the Nvidia card is listed, the issue might be the new driver: yours is dated August 3 and might have been installed more recently than that.  You can try rolling back to an older driver: click Windows key-X, select the Device Manager, expand the Display Adapters section, right-click the Nvidia card, select the Driver tab, and you should see the option to roll back.  If you don't see it, you might have done a clean install of this driver; let me know if you'd still like to try a slightly older one.

@Haengboknam  I don't know whether the driver is the issue or not.  Rolling back to a previous driver would be simple, but clean-uninstalling and reinstalling is not, and that's the only way to install an older driver.  So it would be best to try other steps first.

Please do make sure that you see the Nvidia GPU in Config.log, if you haven't already; if you see the AMD graphics chip instead, that's a separate problem and a relatively simple fix, and it would likely have nothing to do with the Nvidia driver.  So if that's the case, just let me know, and skip the other options below.

If Config.log lists the Nvidia card, please move options.ini, in the same Sims 4 folder, to the desktop.  When you launch the game, your in-game options will have reset.  Don't change anything, at least not yet; just load a save and see how the sims look.  If the problem is gone, tweak the settings to your liking and restart to see the changes.  If the problem is still present and you don't want to redo all the in-game options, quit, delete the new options.ini, and put the old one back.

If that doesn't help, here's how to clean-uninstall and reinstall a graphics driver:

    https://crinrict.com/blog/2019/02/clean-re-install-of-graphics-drivers-with-display-driver-uninstaller-ddu.html

In this case, you're only removing the Nvidia driver, not the AMD driver.  Try the newest driver available from Lenovo for your laptop:

    https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/gaming-series/ideapad-gaming-3-15ach6/downloads/driver-list/component?name=Graphics%20Processing%20Units%20%28GPU%29%20and%20Server-AI%20Accelerators&id=635380F4-448F-4129-AA77-265289D96F6F

To be clear, the two options are the same driver version, just labeled separately for Windows 10 and 11.  Restart your computer after installing the driver and before trying to play.

If this doesn't help, you could try a newer driver but older than the one you currently have installed.  Try one from two or three months ago; you can find recent options here:

@Haengboknam  What settings did you tweak?  I'd suggest undoing those one at a time and testing the shadows, or alternately reseting the Control Panel to default and changing the same settings one at a time.

In any case, it would be helpful to know which setting(s) made your sims look normal again, even if you can't have normal sims and shadows at the same time.
