Save files not loading in game
Hello
Ever since the newest update in August, my save files will not load at all. I can see them in the files just not in game. Its a similar situation with my cc but I'm not as worried about that. The weirdest thing about everything is that The Sims 4 game opens up as if I've never played before despite having it since 2018. I've tried what seems like everything: repairing the game, deleting and redownloading the saves, putting the saves in a new folder, clearing my cache, removing my cc, renaming files, basically everything I've seen on here from people with this similar issue from the past. Nothing, my saves will not show up. I thought that One Drive had something to do with it but I moved my Sims 4 folder out of One Drive and onto my computer but nope, it still wont show up. I'm about to just try uninstalling and reinstalling The Sims 4 but worried it will mess something up. None of the saves have the MSI in the name either.
I've never had a problem like this before and its driving me crazy, someone please help. I just want to play in my saves.
@Chocomallow Sims 4 is reading this path:
C:\Users\your username\Documents etc.
And it appears your saves are here:
C:\Users\your username\OneDrive\Documents etc.
That would explain why the saves aren't loading. To make sure you're opening the correct Documents folder, you can open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, double-click the C drive, then proceed from there.
