- @Daze623 Because they are still essentially pre-death actions.
Many games factor in posthumous kills. Some even give bonuses for it. I feel particularly if you spectate until the fact then it should be rewarded.
Example... you knock someone, ring gets you. Then ring gets them or they bleed out. You deserve that kill. - @Daze623 so should the enemy get those kills ? I dont think so. He should get that last kill and thats it.
I did kill those other 2 (because taking all their health off in a fight and they down, means i should get the kill) in my view, i should get those kills or noone at all should get them if they kill one person. - @1ronKeys thats what i reckon also. I mean your the one that killed them, not the 3rd party team sweeping in to get a couple of shots on 1 weak guy.
- @johnmiceter I dunno i feel whoever kills someone, kills them. Regardless of damage amount.
In this game, it's the knock that counts as the "kill" so to speak if that enemy is eliminated.
Thus i believe if knock, then eliminate, whoever knocked should get the kill. Posthumously by bleed out, ring or killed. - @1ronKeys yeah except the situation here is them dying to another squad not bleeding out or the ring getting them. When you knock people out they're not dead until you finish them off.
I know originally i asked why i dont get the kills and someone explained it, but still I think it should be changed to either no one gets those kills i knocked, or (like i still believe) the person that knocks them, even (if the squad is eliminated) as long as you keep spectating.
A lot of other shooters do it this way and I believe its the fair way to do it.

They still had a chance to get up. If your squad is wiped, thats it. They can still get revived or respawned, but you’re out of the picture and thats why you don’t get the credit for kill. You get the credit for downing them in killfeed but thats it.
It’s the same as if you go down, you leave but your team manages to get the win. You also feel that you should get that win in your stats? By the logic that you stated, I think you do even if you might contest my assumption.
The game already recognized that you were out of the picture, whether you are still observing or are in main lobby. @1ronKeys mentioned other games give posthumous kills, but those games are usually games where you respawn where there’s no ‘revive’ mechanics (usually... if they have it, that person bled out or got shot by someone else).
This thread is kinda like the ones saying ‘Why does teammate get the kill if he only did 1 shot while I had to do 99% of the dmg’ but in reverse XD. There ppl or I state ‘Without that 1% you wouldn’t have gotten anything so take it or leave it’
@Koochi-Qno i shouldnt get the win if i leave because im not spectating anymore, ive left the game and that's when the game should finish if i have no more interaction with it.
Im sure warzone credits you the kills in this way if you keep spectating them and no they cant be revived if the last member of their team is dead (even if they are killed by a different team) I still downed the others.
I know Battlefield used to give me the kills for this and im sure cod warzone does (just not certain).
Can anyone confirm then if Apex has fixed it so that 3rd party team only gets 1 kill and not the 3 ? Because it used to be 3 kills for the 3rd party team in that situation.- @Koochi-Q But that's the thing tho... he's saying they died. No revive or whatever they died from his knock.
Just as if you knock someone and an enemy kills them or the ring or teammate. You get the kill;
So if you knock them, you die, they die. You should get the kill. It makes sense by the logic Apex already uses. - @1ronKeys yeah he knocked him down but he didn't finish them off. Look at it this way. As long as they don't drop their deathbox they are still considered alive until they get finished off and then they're considered dead/killed. The main reason why the 3rd team gets the kill is simply because they finished off the team regardless of how they got knocked out.
@johnmiceterBut that’s the thing, if you’re spectating, be it a teammate after your banner is unobtainable, or an enemy after your squad is wiped, you’re basically out of the equation. The only thing you can still get is points or a win if you spectate.
Kills are something active that need to happen when you’re either alive or dead but your team is not. I think Warzone is the same as Apex.
@1ronKeys , yea, they died after his squad is wiped. That means, no means to credit him for the downs/kills since he officially gone to shooter heaven. If he died at exactly same time as them, he gets the kill. If his squad lives, he also gets kill. But when in shooter heaving spectating an enemy team, no Killfeed-Angel is going back down to give you those killz xD.- @Koochi-Q so why do other games do it differently from Apex when they are a similar game like Warzone ?
Also, can you confirm if the other team doesnt get my knocks as kills anymor or have they changed it ?
I havent played apex as much as i used to, but i definitely remember getting 3 kills even if i only killed one person if the other squad died and i came in as the 3rd party squad. - @johnmiceter I have no idea why, but every game is different and does stuff differently. Maybe it’s to deter just using 1 bullet to steal kills or something.
I can confirm that if someone downs 2 enemies and that person’s squad dies and you put 1 bullet into last enemy and he dies, you get all 3 kills. - @Koochi-Q see thats stupid, this is what i mean and people on here think thats ok by the sound of it ?
I don't think its right IMO and really think they should change it
