Re: Legends and Weapons Loading Slowly

@EA_Kentyes i repaired it more that 5 times this month and it still didnt work. i reinstalled the game once and yet nothing happened. then i went to the nvidia control panel settings and adjusted it and my fps drops are much reduced now. i checked my drivers and all are up to date. and also now when i get in to the lobby from the main menu it loads for a long time and brings me back to the main menu and says connection to server timed out. then when i click again it works but the problem is not fixed yet. id have to wait in the lobby till it loads all the legends but now when my squad is diving i can only see one teammate and the other takes a lot of time to load. so yeah thats pretty much the problem.

@EA_Kentoh and also my weapons take a long time to load when my legends are done loading. i could only see the sights and sometimes the ammo display in the gun till it fully loads. thanks.

I think the issue lies within the High CPU Usage. It is happening since the 27th of May Server-side patch. I am almost certain that this is the culprit. 

@Herr4dleroh. can i fix it or do i have to clean my cpu or something? im playing in a laptop. idk if the problem is on my side or not. this is the only game i play right now.

@douknowdaway399  It's the game's problem, not yours. The only thing we can do as of now, is to wait patiently for a silent patch.

@Herr4dleroh okay. I've been playing apex since the end of season 3 and this is the only huge bug I've gotten so far hope it gets fixed soon ☹️

Can you test something for me when you have a chance? What happens if you start up your PC in a Clean Boot before you launch Apex Legends? Does it still take a long time to load everything in?

@EA_Kent will the boot erase any files or apps? because i don't want to delete any other apps or anti virus.

A Clean Boot won't actually uninstall or erase anything from your PC. It will disable the programs/process that you choose from starting up automatically when you launch your PC. 

When you set up the Clean Boot be sure to pay close attention to the steps in the article I linked above to make sure you don't disable any processes that are vital for Windows to operate. You should be good to go then!

@EA_Kentit has been happening to me over a month now. This happened around the middle of may or something after i installed another game which does not even use that much graphics. i was playing that game for almost a week without any lag then after i finished it i came back to apex and this problem started.
Also when a match starts it takes a while to load me in the legend selection menu or skips me to the jumping part most of the time and sometimes my teammates leave just cuz my profile doesnt appear for a while in the team people think i left and they leave too. please fix this too, i forgot to mention it earlier. Thanks.

@EA_Kent I have the same issue. Tried everything to figure out that the problem is not caused by my PC (ISLC, Nvidia, clean boot, V-sync). Been playing since season 1 and the game was smooth even though i got 50-60 fps fluctuations on my laptop. Now there are huge and i mean absolutely massive frametime spikes. The textures (characters and guns) take ages to load as well. At first i don't even hear gunshots. I repaired the game for season 5 because there were so many issues (still ran smooth) and it worked well at first but couple weeks into the game and the texture + stutters started to happen.

@peryytheplatypusbro same problem and when i get in the firing range my targets take a long time to load as well.

oh and for the lag stuff i went to nvidia control panel and changed the program settings for apex to low and it totally helped to take the lag out but the other problems are still there. 

@douknowdaway399 I found a temporary solution for the stuttering. Download RTSS and cap your framerate to the max fps you get in the game. Frame pacing is much better now. But the texture issue persists. Maybe the next update will fix that

Edit: My max frame rate has become 40 and I'm having a very bad time playing. It used to be 50-60 and was very well paced. I finally gave up on trying to fix or play it ☹️

@EA_Kent  thanks but can you please make it sooner because i think its getting worse. now sometimes my map doesnt work and even though i loaded my legends almost every time any one of my teammates would be invisible when we land and then after a really long time it gets loaded.

I have the exact same problem, this started after the last patch of may, i've already tried repairing the game, reinstalling easy anticheat and even the game but nothing helped.
