Re: Packet loss every few games after new update season 14,15!!

Speed don't mean better internet or more stable just mean you have the ability to download fast.  If everything is working at home and you don't want to troubleshoot the issue I recommend speaking to your ISP.

For most of the network issues, that we are seeing it's network hubs that you are getting routed to are having issues.

Inside the red box are potential server hubs that keep sending your data to the end destination and in this case our server. If one of those servers hubs has an issue with being overworked or cant handle the data it will reflect on your connection to us and in-game (bad ping, loss of connections, data loss and so on). This is outside of our domain and control as we don't control how your data get sent to us only that our system accepts it. This is why you will see me send players to their ISP to see if they can help out identify where or what network hub that are having issues.

  • all my slovakia friends they have same problem like me. so we all should contact our ISP ? :-) we each have a different internet provider. it happens after the update. this is no coincidence. before update everything is fine, after update i should contact my ISP ? :D i have stable internet. best in slovakia (ORANGE provider) . all other games i play work normally. only in apex is packet loss. problem is not on my side...what should I do ? should I call my internet provider and tell him that I have packet loss only in the game apex legends? (after update) and let them fix it? :D:D  ah............ this is sick...

  • I have packet loss issues with you guys too and I am a net tech for the dod. Juniper, cisco and brocade certified. Yalls server farm or switch stacks one is absolute garbage. Always has been.

    @EA_Atic  im in southern california and i play regularly with my friends in Arizona and Washington.  we've been experience major lag recently with 2-4 red icons on the corner of the screen

    ALL AT THE SAME TIME

    how can our ISP be responsible when we're in differents? how can it be the routers and servers in between us and EA when we are all in different parts of the country but we get lag and packet loss at the exact same time?

    Bumping this up so this gains some traction, a LOT of users all over the world have problems with lags since season 14 started and this is not acceptable. 

  • when can fix this server loss packet???season 15 is still happen...this impossible is isp problem..since other game no such issue....

    still not fixed. today 5x packet loss. 2 seasons in a row and they are unable to fix it. shame on u EA/RESPAWN

    Add me to this list and i can confirm that i too have started facing connection issues since season 14. Loads of hit registration issues. The movement feels SLUGGISH. Aim in almost every game and every server i get into feels like i am moving my aim from a MAGNETIC PULL and there is NO FIX to all these issues. 

  • Same problems here, started the first match since 2 weeks yesterday, everything went fine, no lag. Second match, packet loss, so I left the game with ALT+F4 and started playing BF2042.

    That's my experiance of the last two seasons. Some matches went fine, others not. Thats why I also don't bought the season pass this time.

    Standard response "it's your internet" I have the same problem (Poland) and it's been happening since the update (coincidence). Did you know that turning on moving targets on the shooting range breaks the game? Also our internet? Unstable packet loss happens to 7 out of 10 people I play with all the time. Explain why I don't have it in COD and other fps?

  • Constant packet loss. Every. Single. *. MATCH. Every server. Never goes away. 5 to 25% packet loss. And no. No its not the internet provider. No it's not the connection at 1 gig speed. No it's not wifi as it does the same * on hardwire. And yes, faster speed does mean better connection. Why? You get more bandwidth to deal with network congestion and multiple users on the same home network. And to be frank. Your servers that have no issues * me out of my first 3k badge. I even submitted a ticket, providing screenshot, etc. And ZERO response feedback from you guys. Like it's a * joke. Fix your goddamn * game. For the love god. It's not THAT * hard. You have the money. Use it. 

  • @EA_Atic I have a similar issue on PS 5. I constantly have between 1-15 loss and then I played Bf 2042 as well as CoD and everything was running smoothly. I have been very frustrated because even after waiting a while day, the problem is there and only on Apex legends. Please assist.

    Problem still persists as of March 2023. It happens less often but I still get packet-loss lobbies every 4-5 games.

    All other games on my PC run without any issues.

  • @rei6nsame on my side. higher ping and frequent packet loss. a technician from my internet provider was also at our house and everything is fine. I have optical professional internet and the best in Slovakia. For 3.5 years I always had ping 20-25 and for the last 7 months ping 50-80 sometimes even more and frequent packet loss. in other games i have a ping 20...

    I don't understand what the technical support is for, when nobody cares about what we write here.

  • Download this app https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/ (WinMTR) and "start" it when you play, you can find the Apex Server IP from your Task Manager > Resource Monitor.

    Once you are ingame - click on "Start", this will "Monitor" the traffic from your home up to the Apex's server and show you the "route" your internet goes through to reach their network. Through it - you can see where the ping gets high and eventually you get packet loss.

  • I'm having the same issue in Puerto Rico. Every game I have good connection except Apex Legends. It's unplayable for me right now.

  • Singapore server here, sudden packet 100 loss, in the middle gunfight to boot. this game already 3+ years old now and this kind of problem still exist, can you as developer fix this?
