Re: Packet loss issues. Ran uo trace, need help understanding.

Hey @Whitejester33,

Based on what you've included here, it would be best to reach out to your ISP directly to see if they're able to provide any assistance.

There are multiple hops here showing pretty severe packet loss after leaving your home network and before the connection reaches our servers, so this wouldn't be something we can affect directly, or that's likely to be impacted by the typical troubleshooting steps.

You can try these troubleshooting steps to see if there's any improvement especially when flushing/changing your DNS, though after that point you'd need to reach out to your ISP to see if they're able to assist further.

  • Thank you for confirming. So to clarify the 100% packet loss are isp side and should not exist correct?

    Hi @Whitejester33,

Those hops showing 100% packet loss shouldn't typically exist, correct.

The tricky part is that these may be part of another provider's network and not nodes that are explicitly controlled by your particular ISP.

Depending on whether that's the case those issues may be out of your ISP's control as well, but they'd need to reach out on your behalf or see if it's possible to get your connection taking a different route.
