Re: Cross Progression - do I have to buy the Battle Pass twice?

Hi there!

I assume that you had all your platforms connected to the 1 same EA account.

If no then there is a whole lot of issues that might pop up....

But if yes... then that's a good question regarding battle pass. How the Cross progression works is that it will combine all your accounts into the one "main" account. It is kinda tricky as not everything will merge.

As it's stated in the FAQ:

During the Cross Progression update process, we will identify what is referred to as your primary platform. This is determined by the highest level reached across all of your platforms. Content and Apex Coin balances will be associated with this singular account going forward, only the stats (i.e. progress) of this primary platform will be retained. The stats/progress of the other platforms will no longer be accessible.

So what that means that skins will carry over no problem but stuff like stats, badges(?) level and some other stuff from the accounts with lower level will be wiped out.

So going off by your example; the PC account being highest level will be made into the "main" account so stats & level from your xbox account will simply disappear. (But skins won't! Don't worry about that!)

And now circling back to the battle pass question.... I think it will carry over no problem, but there is a small chance that it will be tied to an account so buying it on xbox might be a waste of 10 bucks but I haven't had anyone say this.

    Hi there

Thanks for the reply. I'm a little confused. My main account is on Xbox. When they announced Cross Prog I bought a PC and started playing through steam (the week of Cross Prog). I linked my Xbox account and steam account through EA. Will I still get Cross Prog? The email for my steam is different to the email of my Xbox Acc. I'm not to phased about the battlepass as I mainly want my cosmetics and heirlooms.

Do you know if these waves are daily or weekly?

Waiting patiently but I can't find it in me to play without all my things.

    Okay, let's tackle this slowly.

First of all, did you unlink your xbox account and linked it to the PC one? Or other way around?
Because if you did you might run into some issues.

All the data is stored on the EA accounts, not the respective platforms so if you for example unlinked your Xbox account, all the progress that was on it was "soft" deleted. And linking it to the different account won't make you enjoy your skins on that account.

Second of all, it's safe to assume that waves are happening on daily basis around the 7-9 CET time.

One question, the max level on apex is 500 right? What if both ps platform and pc platform has the same max level 500 what happens then? Will they look at the playing time and stats to determine which will be the main account?

@rallen1518 Thanks so much for your assistance. So when I got the PC I downloaded steam and linked it to me EA account, and on my EA account I linked the Steam account to it. On the EA account it has my Xbox linked (I never unlinked that), and I linked the steam account.

Maybe I'm being impatient, but I'm ticking on on PC and just do not want to buy anything becuase I have Legend Tokens, Crafting and Coins on my 'main, account which was my xbox account. Since finding out there was going to be CP I stopped playing on Xbox and started on PC. I hope this makes more sense.

In the Cross progression FAQ it is stated that:

For players who have multiple platforms with the same highest level: your primary platform will be the one with the highest level that you last logged in on.

Here is a link to that article: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/apex-legends/news/cross-progression

    @DexRoss

So as far as I understand you'll be able to enjoy your console progress on PC once you get the prompt. Since I also assume you linked it on or after October 26th keep in mind that all the PC progress won't be included in merge but it doesnt stop you from cross progression.

The waiting is the biggest negative everyone is having, I also stopped playing apex right now even though I came back into Apex during the Haloween event last season after a long break because what's the point?

I wouldn't get too scared, yes it's been 4 weeks already since the annoucment but I would expect them to close the "cross progression" chapter around the mid season. If it goes beyond that point then I will start to complain 🙂
