Can't use Origin, forcing me to install EA app, EA app doesn't have cloud saves

I went ahead and installed the EA app since it was forced on me today, I noticed this was going to happen with the prompts from Origin. I tried the beta EA app and uninstalled it within a day. It was not intuitive at all (when you’re used to a particular layout and they move everything) and missing some basic settings found in Origin, like app behavior settings. 

after installing the app, I tried to open a game I play regularly, Apex Legends, and instantly it prompted me to choose between using an older local save or cancel the launch because “we couldn’t connect to the cloud save data.” What? Origin syncs up first thing at game launch. EA app does not for some reason. EA app is definitely not finished and lacking basic features.. why is this a mandatory install?

I had to reinstall origin to play Apex without worrying if my save data was going to be broken if I reverted to an older local save. This is something that really shouldn’t have been an issue from a forced app replacement. Especially something like game save syncing.. 

work around: install EA app and then reinstall Origin while keeping EA app installed as well, just don’t use it, use origin. 

Yesterday I reinstalled ea desktop because I formatted my SSD, it automatically unistalled the origin app, now I can't download again origin and cant install some games i had on origin and don't appear on EA Desktop. I already requested an account merge because I had a different account on origin and eadesktop. It was very invasive that ea app unistalled my origin... is there a way to install origin again?

I was forced to download the EA app which uninstalled Origin. I tried turning off the EA app and then re-downloading and installing origin, but when it opened, it just gave me that same stupid popup about installing the EA app that I can't click out of. It's not letting me use Origin at all, even with the EA app installed and not in use.

I would love the response from EA on this.... I can't play my game either and all the workarounds I've found no longer work. I swear every time I have a problem with EA it's never a small one... I figure that's why they are the most hated gaming industry.

Anyone managed to find a solution? 

Ive had this problem consistently now too. I was getting absolutely fed up with the EA app always forcing me to move download locations because it constantly said I had no disk space despite obviously having it. I tried reinstalling origin, got the pop up window, and haven't been able to play any games. Most * up part is, my games will download when I have origin open, even with the pop up window up and forcing me to install EA, but the EA app refuses to download or update them due to low disk space. Nice try EA, not installing that app any time soon again. If my games still work with origin downloading and updating them in the background of the pop up block then I'll just stick with this

C:\ProgramData\Origin -> edit file local.xml -> add this line "<Setting key="MigrationDisabled" type="1" value="true"/>" -> save file -> go to file properties and check the read-only box!
