Re: [Megathread] Pathfinder Changes Feedback

I’ve used pathfinder since season 3 and through these seasons I’ve practiced using the grapple in fights to keep me alive and in some instances push a squad that was low. Now with this nerf I feel like paths lit as a legend isn’t the same anymore. I’ve played season 5 and like we can’t move like we used to. We can’t play as a pathfinder anymore. And respawn is you want to keep the player count on legends to be high? Why would you kill a legend like pathfinder? People love pathfinder, we use him because he’s different from the other legends, as all the legends are different. Pathfinder gives us a different play style and you nerfing the grapple to 35 seconds not 25 but 35 is just sad. All I ask if you reconsider changing the grapple time to 25. Thank you

  • @LuckHawkSGPersonally I think that was a much needed nerf for pathfinder, wraith and pathfinder don’t require any skill to be good they can just flip the switch in a moments notice and escape to safety, this change will just make you be sure to save your grapple until you really need it

  • @LuckHawkSG I agree with you. I was just starting to get good with pathfinder but the nerf made him seriously difficult to use. Reducing the nerf to about 20 seconds or so would make him still usable but not overpowered.

@FaIIenAngeI777i disagree Unlike Wraith Path and Octane can be killed while in Using there ability, wraith can easily escape, On the other hand while grappling Path is a swinging target a little bit good tracking aim will take him down,so taking a mobility away from a Purpose built Robot seem stupid. You my Friend have not played Enough with path, people who have more then 1000 Hours knows, what they are talking about.

@FaIIenAngeI777 Lmao no skill???? HAHAHA. Pathfinders grapple is the hardest tactical to master. Please make a valid argument. Let’s look at pathfinders passive and ult, compared to other legends his passive and ult are complete garbage and most people rarely ever use his passive. His zip line is okay but you have to consider that all hostile enemy can use it and it is crazy easy to be shot off it. Other legends have crazy good passives, tactical, and ults. Pathfinder only has one decent ability, his grapple. I knew a nerf was coming but and increase of 55%+ on his cool down? That’s just insane. An increase of 25%-30% would be just as effective and still allow him to be playable. Don’t be insane, this nerf was totally uncalled for and is straight up overkill. If you think pathfinder doesn’t take skill you may be a 12 year old fortnite player who can’t even wipe your own butt.
  • @LuckHawkSG I’ve been playing path since the game’s start and grapple is one of the hardest abilities to master in the game. The grapple should be put back at its default 15s cooldown not even compromised at 25, it shouldn’t even be nerfed at all because while it’s not what makes pathfinder strong but it is what makes him fun. What makes pathfinder strong is a combination of his mobility and his passive being able to determine rings and rotating his team in early to get better positioning for mid-late game. By nerfing his grapple they avoided the real thing which made him “meta” (even though caustic, gibby, loba can all be subbed into his flex role. People who complain about pathfinder getting in and out of fights too fast need to work on their aim or positioning so they can finish a pathfinder when he dives in on them, if he got it it and was able to heal it means it was a well placed grapple OR the person missed their shots and he had time to get out, nerfing what makes him unique is a misguided nerf. EA should revert to 15 like it normally is, since path’s grapple is not an oppressive issue except for players at lower level. They did him dirty.
