Re: Brand New Sims 4 Cheat NOT WORKING

I've carefully followed each step:

1) Open cheat console

2) "testingcheats on" then enter
3) "bb.showhiddenobjects" then enter

4) "bb.showliveeditobjects" then enter

5) Search for "debug"

And still none of the new debug items are showing up. The normal hidden objects do, but not the new ones. I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:

1) Restart game & computer

2) Uninstall all mods and CC

3) Repair game

4) Clear Origin cache fully

5) Start new save file with a new sim after all of the above steps

I've also tried filtering for "Debug" rather than searching. Nothing seems to work.

I have all of the following packs:

Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get Famous, Get to Work, Get Together, Island Living, Seasons, Dine Out, Jungle Adventure, Outdoor Retreat, Parenthood, Spa Day, Strangerville, Vampires, Cool Kitchen Stuff, Fitness Stuff, Laundry Day Stuff, Movie Hangout Stuff, My First Pet Stuff, Perfect Patio Stuff, Toddler Stuff, and Vintage Glamour Stuff.

Which means unless all the new unlocks are hidden in Backyard Stuff, Bowling Night Stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, or Spooky Stuff, it's definitely not that I'm missing the packs that unlock it.

I'm playing on PC on Windows 10.

    I didn't know you had to literally hit the magnifying glass and show all objects to find them. I figured it would be in decor somewhere. That might be the problem people are having

    I have the Xbox console and the only way it worked for me was to do a blank search

    after you ever the cheats and then go down to search for debug, start with the astric ⭐ in the search box- before the word debug . As soon as you type in the star ( astric) it should pop up with several:

    ****DEBUG****

    ****DEBUG****

    ****DEBUG****

    And so on.

    I am experiencing the EXACT same issue. You just explained EVERYTHING I've done to fix and I have all the packs but spooky stuff. So, I have no idea how to get all the cool fences, rocks, flower beds, cars etc etc I watch all my favorite builders use from only debug and NO extra content. Its keeping me up at night literally trying to figure this out. Its driving me insane! ☹️ ☹️ 

    Please someone , anyone help me ☹️

    @mwalker91027 So sorry for your frustration! There are two different methods you can try...


    Method #1:
    With your lot open in build mode, press Shift+Control+C to open the cheat console box     (upper left of your screen)

    Enter the following in the cheat code box (in this and press enter after each one): 
    bb.showhiddenobjects (press enter)
    bb.showliveeditobjects     (press enter) 

    then search for DEBUG

    Method #2

    The second method is: after entering bb.showliveeditobjects you can just click the search icon or click in the search box and press enter and it will bring up all of the new hidden world objects. This is the simplest solution for those that are looking for the new hidden world objects.

    If it's not working for you please try again... and again, if needed. Sometimes I seem to have to try to activate more than once - maybe I missed a letter or something? You could re-start the game and try again. If all of that does not work check if you need a game repair &/or if a Mod/CC may be interfering?

    How to run a game repair:

    • Open Origin, click ‘Game Library’ then right-click Sims 4 > Repair Game

    • If you’re on PC, make sure to let it run until it has completed all repairs (it will do the base game first, then run through each of your DLCs (Expansion Packs, Game Packs and Stuff Packs).

    Mod/CC testing:

    Do you have any Mods or CC? If so, please move your Mods folder from your "The Sims 4" folder [Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4] to your desktop (save it for reference) and delete the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder. Then check in a new game save to see if this issue is still occurring. If the issue is gone, please re-add the Mods/CC one at a time until you find the one causing the issue. If you have a lot of Mods/CC you can try the 50/50 Method.
