Re: NPC Generation

@KushKylie, it should be safe, from what I understand, especially if you are deleting Sims who don't live "in the world".  (That always sounds odd to me! 😃 ).

As for Vampires, it is like I said … I think a combination of a lot of factors plays a role.  My GM Vampire has the uncontrollable hissing, which causes her to be disliked by almost everyone, even her husband and all her children, no matter how nice she is to them! 😞 I think she is doing well just to have any relationship in the green!  So some of her failed Vampire interactions might be due to this, but there are so many other factors it is hard to say for certain! 🤨  And since everybody is going to dislike her anyway, I never have her ask permission to drink but always have her compel. ( I have other Vamps who always ask permission!)

Another factor I did not think of since most of my gameplay with this Sim and her family was done before Get Famous was released, is that reputation might also play a part in whether a Vampire interaction fails or is successful. 🤔

This is where I really miss the Prima Strategy Guides that used to be published for The Sims, TS2, and most of TS3.  They would always spell out the mechanics of interactions and the likelihood of certain outcomes.  It made answering questions to help people much easier.  I'm not that tech savvy so I can only go by my gameplay and what others report.  But I do play this game all the time! 😃

In reference to your other post about the teen with the toddler's Sad moddlet, and Vladislaus' family … I don't know the answers to those at this time (I think I remember someone else having problems with persisting toddler moodlets, but I'm not sure.🤔  It might be a bug.😞   I didn't reply there because I don't want to discourage somebody who can really answer your questions , which might happen if I post. e

But I wanted to say that yes, that is very nice of you not to want to clutter the forums with questions 😇 ; however, it is usually better if you make 2 separate posts, since it will be easier for others with similar problems to find the answers.🤨  A lot of people look for the Check Mark my the post that says the problem has been solved, but if you have 2 separate issues, if you use the "Accept as Solution" button when one of the issues is solved, then it seems as if the other issue is also solved when it might not be.☹️  So while I appreciate your thoughtfulness on not wanting to clutter the forums, it is actually more helpful if you post your issues separately! 😉  It's not considered "spamming" if the topics are different and you legitimately need help! 🙂

Finally, I have to agree that the complexity of the interactions makes the game so fun! ❤️ It is a fun game to experiment with! 🤓🥳

Thanks @PugLove888, I didn’t think of it that way! I’ll split my post into two topics then. Vlad’s situation keeps getting more frustrating the more I try to solve his issue.

I also searched for answers regarding the moodlet a couple days ago when I noticed this moodlet would go away. I found someone with the exact same issue, but the cheat that was suggested didn’t work for me. I don’t think all PC cheats work for console. They also suggested the moodlet drink, and it only works temporarily.

My other sims interact a lot with the ones I play at the time (they all know each other one way or another... it’s a small world, after all), and the three teens who are stuck with this moodlet are always sad! It’s frustrating to see.

I have no issue replicating the teens and replacing them with their library copy- but I need to know that’ll work before I commit to that.

After all this time the game has been out, I’ve only just started playing it, so I’ve got a lot of questions. You’ll be seeing a lot of me in here 😭

@KushKylie, no problem!  Separating your issues into different posts makes it more likely both of your issues will get looked into as well. 😉  Nobody would want an issue you are having to be overlooked because someone focused on the other issue! ☹️

Yeah, I think I've seen the moodlet issue before.  It would be nice to know exactly what caused it! But I would experiment with not using the mood or age cheats, just to be on the safe side.  I don't use them too often.  But if you have the same toddler moodlet issue without using the mood or age cheats, then you know it wasn't the cheats that caused it.  Likewise if you don't have the toddler mood issue when not using those cheats, then you know cheats were the culprit.  I wont be playing much tonight as I have a headache 😞, so I can't test it out myself until later -- but someone else might answer you in the meantime! 🙂  It does seem a persistent problem in your game, so it would be good for you to find out more about it! 🤨

Don't worry about asking questions! As long as you follow the rules and are patient for answers, you'll be fine! 😎  We can't always be online since most of us here are volunteers.  There are some EA employees here, though, but their screenname will indicate that they are from EA.  Most of us here are just passionate about the Sims and want to help other people!  And some of us here are great with computers (sadly, I'm not one of those people! 😳😃 ) But we do try to help to the best of our abilities.  And if you hang around often enough, you might be able to answer some questions yourself! :eahigh_file: That's how a lot of us started out!

It hasn’t been a persistent problem so far. The three teens experienced this moodlet in their toddler-hood, while another three children I’ve aged up manually, didn’t, and haven’t so exhibited this moodlet in their childhood.

Perhaps aging them up while the moodlet was active could be an issue? I’ll have to experiment myself too.
