How do I link jumps in the sims 4 horse ranch?

One thing I really loved about the sims 3 horses was the near realism of the movement and activities of the horses- for example, the horse could jump an entire course. I noticed in the Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion pack, the horse does this unrealistic jump, turns around, paws the ground, and then jump again. I know EA isn't an equine expert, and I don't expect them to be, but they knew and designed horses to jump a whole course in Sims 3, so surely that knowledge would transfer over..... Is there a way to link jumps in Sim 4 horse ranch to have the horse jump a full course? If not, can we expect that update in the future?

I appreciate EA efforts as usual, we asked for horses and did get them and for that I am thankful, but Im kinda bummed out the game is far from my expectations and far from living up to my sims 3 horse girl dreams

  • @paintedponylover    Hi!  I did some testing and couldn't find a way to link the jumps. :-(   I gave your thread a "me too" because I would love to see that added to the game.  It should be similar to the obstacle course in Cats & Dogs.  Maybe sims could do a jump, then race around some barrels, do another jump and just repeat the process.  Maybe they could add a special timer when multiple obstacles are used together like a "complete 3 laps on the course" or something.  Thanks for sharing!

  • Yeah, this is extremely disappointing in comparison to Sims 3. Connecting the jumps is a completely logical leap they should have made.

  • EXACTLY!!! Adding a "me too" and "XP" to boost this thread.

They should include Jumping courses. It would also be cool to see the horses *in* competition forjumping, barrels, and behavior. Or maybe someone could make a mod for it? Because there is so much room for improvement. I would love to see more english saddle-related stuff. Dressage!? Theres so much potential!

That said, the way that horses' need-fulfillment works could be better. Its so finicky and difficult to get high quality manure. Also, the ranch hands get down right annoying. My Sim gardens, and I have to assign the ranch hand not to garden EVERY DAY, because the game doesn't remember my selection. Also, there's some kind of weird glitch where the ranch hands won't stop going into my fridge to bake a cake, then leaving the ingredients out unfinished...multiple times. This expansion pack is just very poorly made.

Use this website https://lms-mods.com/ and search horse parkour. This is how you link different jumps; however, still not like sims 3 but much closer than what we have with sims 4 horse ranch expansion.
