Re: [Mod Related] Non werewolf sims doing werewolf idles

@LBonne24 I have seen someone else mention this on another forum how their spellcaster turned into a werewolf/spellcaster hybrid after woohooing with Greg. The game pack occult needs are bugging as if they have both occult traits when they only have one occult trait. The game is meshing occults together and turning human sims without the proper trait after woohooing with occult. This is a mess...

I do hope this gets noticed because I know a lot of players may not play occults enough to notice this happening. Honestly I don't want my sims breaking permanently from this.

Occults are literally my favorites. Idk how to play with purely vanilla human sims. Not for long. Someone is always father winter’s baby, or a sulani elemental baby. Or married to an occult.

Literally this save is my Growing together save and the main family is two wives and they are literally chock full of occults. Maisley (née Ventura)& Siraya (née Storme) Ventura-Storme. Maisley comes from spell casters on their mother’s side. (Their dad took mom’s last name). Both mom and child were dormant but with strong bloodline. And Maisley has the crystal.Their dad is a normal human I think but he was more there for supporting the mom as a partner. Siraya has one mother who is the result of a union between a mermaid and a sulani elemental, and another who is father winter’s baby. So she has sulani mana. And their son came out with properties from both. He honestly could’ve been a mermaid.

The only occults not in the family line are werewolves, vampires, aliens, and plant sims. And just a few houses away you have the werewolf sim from my pictures above. The Curious family from Sims 2, plus The Smiths are in Newcrest. I even got Nova Curious.  All that’s missing are plant sims. It’s stressful, so much effort, so much time making sure people that are related, or are supposed to know each other, actually do/are since they never do.

This kind of bug would ruin my game.

I haven't gotten a chance to try and replicate this yet, but a possible workaround to fix affected sims might be cheating the occult trait they are infected with on and then off? for example, for a human sim that woohoo'd a werewolf, cheat the werewolf trait on and then cheat the werewolf trait off. same with the sims that are ending up as hybrids. for those of you with this bug (I am going to try to replicate this when I have time), can you see if this fixes it?

@LBonne24 I'm right there with you on occults. I never play with vanilla sims. All sims I've ever played were occult and this bug really is upsetting. Especially for your game, I understand you don't want your hard work to be messed up by this horrible bug. None of it should be wasted. My alien was created back in 2019 and I love my alien sim so much. I definitely don't want her permanently ruined.

@CCuteCCabaret I'm gonna recheck and try to find occult traits. I've checked with some mods to see if there was a legitimate hidden additional occult trait added to them. So far I see no sign of an additional occult trait. So nothing to remove but I'll keep looking and if I do find something I'll report back.

Edit: adding on the trait then off. Apologies. Misread. I'll try that and report back.

@CCuteCCabaret  I had tried to see if they had additional traits, but I’m not sure how to find hidden ones. They all had options to be turned into other occults other than their main ones (when I shut-clicked occult cheats). For the vamps werewolf was available, and for the werewolf vamp would be available. But when checking them, like in MCC, in CAS, or in their panel, etc it just said their normal state. Except when Lilith’s got all corrupted. But my checking happened after I exited and re-entered the game without saving, when she transformed. So it’s like the game still thought they were normal even while they weren’t. I had even made a club with Lilith’s vampire offspring while she was still showing fury and scratching, prior to transformation, and they hadn’t all turned yet, but she was the only one allowed if the vampire trait was added. Meanwhile she was turning into a wolf.

Just realized I also misread that, I hadn’t tried giving them the trait I’ll try that later. I had tried seeing if it was clicked on already.

@LBonne24So what I mean is, if you have a human turning into a werewolf, for example, shift click them, turn them into a werewolf that way, and then shift click them again and REMOVE the werewolf trait and see if that fixes it. For Lilith, check if the game still says she's a vampire first, then shift click and turn her into a werewolf and then REMOVE it.

@CCuteCCabaret Okay I’ll give that a shot. Really don’t need anymore vampires rampaging in my game. Ah but there’s so many occults in that save. I may wait to hear how it works for other people/ if the team picks this up. There’s too many occult sims to be going around and fixing. Too many of them woohoo, between free love nap and my mods. I just need them to fix this bc that’s too many sims to fix. It’s so populated with occults. But I’ll probably at least try to uncorrupt this family. I worked really hard on this twilight-esque love story.

@LBonne24 I had just remembered. Adding the werewolf trait is risky. Previously people had problems getting rid of the werewolf behaviors after removing just the werewolf trait because there's many working pieces in the occult. So the best way is for them to properly take the cure. I think I'll stay away from adding the werewolf trait but the vampire one is okay to attach and remove from a sim. But unfortunately this does not help my case haha...

@iamoz96  Can you buydebug the cure potion and test that maybe? If I had time right now I would test myself haha.

@CCuteCCabaret I'll try! Hopefully the glass isn't empty when I put in on the lot. Which seems to happen for me with food, glass drinks ect.

Just checked. It's not showing up with both cheats activated. It only shows the werebies remedy and power-sip. The vampire cure shows up tho.

@iamoz96hmm...maybe make a backup copy of your save first and then test the werewolf cheat and see what happens?

@CCuteCCabaret I can do that def since I do already have backups of my save. Would be very interesting to try it out.

@iamoz96 thanks for the heads up. I had tried to talk to the bartender to get the rabies cure the other night but he wasn't willing to befriend vampires. This was back when I was trying to figure out what would work. I didn't even think about the cure for being a wolf, totally forgot about that. I'll try searching debug. I hadn't tried adding or removing traits yet. So I'll see if I can find it in my new save. And test it out since I'm not attached to anyone in that save. If it works, I'll go back to my previous save.
