    I had already tried deleting the cache file, as i mentioned above. I also have double checked the location and its going to the right spot for the mods folder.

    @WintersCoven If you edit the Sims, can you get the defaults to go away? I use eye default CC and have never run into them sticking when I remove them to run tests. Another thing to try is a "Save As" on your save.

    Problem is im getting it when i go to create a new save, i havent tested it on old saves but i can if needed.

    @WintersCoven That really sounds like the file isn't actually removed. Try this: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/ You'll still have your old files there to put back in the new folders, but you'll have a true clean start (and a chance to check if that was really the user folder the game was seeing or a duplicate somewhere else). It can also clean out lots of glitching in general.

    Thank you! Sorry things took so long, life threw hands. I had to do a deep dive of the mods folders i had and found some that were named in funky manners and is why i had missed them before. Things are all good now!
