- @EA_Darko Absolutely! Night time truly is great because it feels illegal. But after and during heat 3, it becomes a stress rather than enjoyable. Can you please check out my thread "NFS Heat Engine Sounds"?
NFS police are way too overpowered get a patch out to fix it as soon as possible it is very annoying can’t enjoy the game at all
fix the damn police they are way too overpowered
- @smmy-_-xo After heat level 3, they become way to over powered.
@immortalcons That's the point. If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. I don't have any problems with the cops because with the elite repair kit you can take them long enough. Maybe wait to get to heat lvl 3+ when your rep is on the same lvl.

Erm, they catch up to me when i am going a solid 140mph and they catch up, like i am standing still and that is fine??? sorry, but no....same speed, sure, aggressive sure, but not tough like a tank AND going above 240mph..
they are cop cars, not Armour Divisions.
They could make it based on heat levels and car ratings.
1: Scales to the car they are chasing
2: Does not exceed the max speed of the car they are chasing by 150%
3: They can be demolished by ramming into the side of their car and hitting solid walls and that demolishes them which is realistic
4: If you cause them to crash, but not get demolished and they get 1000yds behind us, they should NOT be able to catch up within 2 seconds while our speed has remained constant.
So, if they do this right, it will go like this:
Heat 0: Their stats are 50% of our current car's stats
Heat 1: Their stats are 75% of our current car's stats
Heat 2: Their stats are 100% of our current car's stats
Heat 3: Their stats are 125% of our current car's stats
You get the idea.
The health of the cop cars should be based on the cars themselves, a basic cop car should not last the same time as a car built to take a harsh beating...it makes no sense for them t be as equally as tough.
ive got my car built for speed and after wanted level 2 i cant even out run them they are not over powered they are broken
@Demonsouls93 wrote:ive got my car built for speed and after wanted level 2 i cant even out run them they are not over powered they are broken
I think they should tone it down to being around our car's speed, it scales to our performance to a degree, but if we cause them to crash...they should not be able to catch up to us when we are going so fast, they have to go 500mph to catch up in the time it takes for them to do so.
Agreed...
its no fun with Heat 3+
Cops have around 90.000 HP they always catch up even If I use NITRO they´re always faster.
just lost 50k because it is impossible to loose 4 cops.
Night Race is no fun right now. Cops way to fast.
Fun fakt my own car at Home is faster then the Z4 Level 220. Got a BMW 1 Series with 410 HP at home. I bet with my own car I can escape 4 cops easy lol
- @JamieK81 Thank you! that is my point!!!!!
Cops get really easy to evade by the end game to be honest. In races they are even easier to get rid of because they don't just chase you. Waiting for athe pack of racers after you win then splitting from them can lead to some easy 5🔥 escapes as the cops always split to chase them to (till the AI racers despawn from going to the edge of your map.)
plus ramps are basically a unlimited use pursuit breakers that kinda can be exploited with map knowledge (that I don't use cos I actually wanna play the game, challenge and improve my skills)
Going 200mph I left all the cops in the dust. At heat 5 with no ramps no roofs just running. And I did it on stream too with a ton of witnesses to back it up.
Cops starting and mid game seem impossible because they do serious damage where your around the 100-140mph mark. But soon as your in the hi 100s, 170 200+ the police really have to sweat to get close to you. All of them complaining "My cars red lining can't keep up😭"
So the rubber banding definitely does have limits. You just need to have a lead if they are qlready right next to you doing the formation they will stay next to you regardless of speed but the sec they fall 100 metres back the chances of catching you at 200Mph+ Is zero even on straights. the cop balance was definitely designed around end game. I fear if they actually improved how easy the cops are mid and low progression. Players at end game would find the cops boring. Unless they made more heat levels that only unlock at Rep level 40 cos soon as you hit that magic number you have almost all elite parts and even corvettes get left behind. In hi heat races The racers are definitely MILES faster then me. And the cops struggle to chase my 350 Performance car. Can you imagine how useless they would be when you have the Ultimate parts ?
Now as I do believe heat 3 is hard around rep 0 to 20 around 30 3 is easy then at 40 rep 4 and 5 is easy. In fact the only threat to me now is the camara shake destroying my distant visiblity of civilian cars Spikes and Rhinos. Nothing else can scratch me till i crash or slide off road where my car don't belong
Maybe a racer and cop separate Difficulty options would help the people struggling
As for me. The easy escape exploits fixes seem like more of a priority. Why spend you time playing the game when little timmy is up top a container in the shipping yard farming 2million Rep every 30 mins or so? Get that crap out the game or force reset people for being in a unpathfindable location after 3 secs. Same goes for jumps. If people use them let cops put barriers in front on a cool down timer. Get rid of these cheese exploits so people actually play the game and improve
The more time you spend actually getting beat the more strategies you come up with. Hitting the win ramp won't make you get better at the game. And out playing the cops to ram eachother and avoid getting rammed is a thing learned throw game play. I'm not one to throw out Git gud but??? With a faster car. Upgrades and basically 3 full repairs and 2 half repairs the cops become a actually joke that actually need buffing raither than nerfing
Most people here will disagree and thats fine but I would ask that people atleast get to rep 40 and get your cars past the 300 level point. You will see a literal Night and day difference in cop difficulty. I actual get low speed busted more than wrecked now as corvettes are quite the 0mph box you in so you can't move artists when they spin you out or very rarely get a kill switch on you. But again this is so rare because only the chopper can keep up to me now and that lasts like 2 mins at times. Really makes you appreciate the work Ghost put in to these cops🥰
You just need to play the game a bit less like 05. Build yourself up then when your ready both skill. Car and rep wise cops are a semi challenging semi easy breeze to lose.
Getting busted by way of 0MPH you can do nothing but nod and say GG as your end game cars are way more over powered than anything the cop AI have.
Only technical things like camara shake really hurt your ability to escape at end game.
Don't mess with anything more than 3 untill you are atLEAST rep 30 at the minimum. Slow down enjoy the game you don't need to rush into the end game heasts so early. Going out getting one or 1 rep a night is how how you get to the end game. Or you can risk it go hi heat and get rewarded for it. 50 nights really ? Just 50. The games just dropped. I'd expect people complaining about this 2 weeks in but like basically 1 day? Proves people are not far enough yet I'm sorry. Spend more time with it. Rushing this game unless you are exploiting won't work.
I don't like the way it makes me feel like a complete ragdoll, unable to do anything, their cars weigh a million tons and mine is literally on ice. They pit manouvre you so easily and you can't counter steer out of it, it's not even like they legitimately do a pit manovure either it looks more like just "oh cop 1 has hit player on the right corner, script to spin him round" i just feel like it gets to the point where i have literally no control over what is happening to my car.
Nobody said anything about rushing or anything from the wall of text you posted. At everyone's start, you need rep & cash to progress, right? Good. What else can you do to quickly level-up? Increase heat for more rewards to get better parts, right? Good. Now it's not about stuff like "It's a breeze etc when you got a 300+ car", you clearly got the wrong idea here. People just starting the game are struggling with these kind of issues just to get there, so it's a serious issue that needs to be fixed or at least having a max heat level depending on the car score that you've got. You didn't offer a solution at all in your post, just something that can be done a lot later in the game.
I got to rep 30 in about 7 hours of play tho?
My point still stands you should not be going into these heats under prepared.
4 and 5 only just now started getting easy. Around 20 25 heat 3 was easy for me. Around 30. 4 around 40. 5. if people were not rushing into hi heats at low levels we would not be having this conversation. Heat 5 is a breeze at 300+ heat 3 ? Waaaay lower than that. Like 223 i was dealing with heat 3 cops.
Only heats 4 and 5 were issues. And i'm talking eash escapes. Chases are a test of speed and endurance. If your car is to slow and to weak (you don't have at least the 1st damage reduction and instant repair aux) you are not ready for more than 3.
Cops get hyper aggressive 4+ plus.
Obviously you did not read my "text wall" about what the actual problem is in the core AI design and why exactly they are so fast in straight line situation?
Buy design you are not supposed to be able to win hi heats till you build up to it. No progression. No hi heat success. Its why lower rep don't even take that much to rep
Like i said if you aim for 1 rep a night like me. Thats 50 nights. Thats not that long. And in 7 to 10 hours i got to 50 with no issues. Because i saw the games systems and understood what i needed to succeed.
Same as the most wanted M3. if you thing you are gunna unlock that and easy win a heat 5 night with its stock part at the end of the game ? Also wrong.
View this game like an RPG and the heats different zones like Assassin creed odyssey. That performance level tells you alot about what you are currently safe to do. The cops just don't rank above their head. You gotta figure it out by playing.
- @LtNoelVermillion yep, took me a little bit to figure that out, but once i did, the game came alive for me.
People are stuck in the glorious days of Most wanted 2005.
The thing ppl for get is this.
Most wanted's progression was 10 times slower than heat.
At the very start up untill 25% of the game heat 3 finally unlock. And the game also brought in new cars new parts.
Around 50% heat 4 unlocked and the next big wave of cars parts anc internal upgrades.
Around 75% you got heat 5 and end game part that made the end game M3 06 look like a joke
The cops were never annoying or op because you was given the tools to deal with the heat unlocks............
In Heat, the heat locks are all gone and people are exposed to the mid/End game cops right off the bat if you push your luck to hard. And because ppl don't understand when enough is enough and are out matched, it's the games fault??????
Most wanted cops would of been exactly the same if the locks were off...... They pushed you around pinning you against the world like school bullies going slow at hi heats....... it's like doing MW heat 5 with 3 wheels. It's doable just EXTREMELY HARD. Thats heat in a nutshell
People are blinded by these very facts because if they are not winning... Games broken. Ppl lack the common sense to solve a simple untold rule......
I guess exploit boosting is that fix for these ppl I guess.....
I agree they rubber band because of the busted diamond box formation AI how ever most wanted hand that too if they got in front for a rolling block
But the rubber banding has limits like i explained in previous "text walls"
Don't was your time reading them tho.... Because forms are not basically pages of text or anything...
- @LtNoelVermillion A little correction on Heat car name-M3 GTR E46 was a 2001 car for GT2 race. The MW05 livery was sorta based on BMW M-Sport team livery of 2001.So Ghost did it wrong this time by listing M3 GTR E46 as a 2006 model
The more you know 🤣 cool I'll just refer to it as the MW BM then
- @LtNoelVermillion True dat. Hey I was in their boys for the first 48 hours I played the game so I empathise with them. My controller hadn’t been thrown that much for ages. But now it’s starting to make sense and coming back for me.
Trust me I was right there with you 🤣
It seems like trash when someone says. "slow down to go faster"
In this game progression It's fact (unless you use exploits)
Right now I'm am struggling with playing the game, as any car outside of the deluxe addition cars that you can't do anything too but engine upgrades, crash my game...... So i'm stuck to the K.S cars till a fix happens. It's not all cars but i'm not putting effort into any more when i may or may not be able to use it. Put 4 hours into a Nissan GTR livery. I can't get more than 10% in a race without the GTR crashing the game. Even at stock
Then i switch to my K.S Corvette. ? Not a single crash. Switch back to my GTR. Crash. It's a car related crash. So i'm not risking making another
In Heat, the heat locks are all gone and people are exposed to the mid/End game cops right off the bat if you push your luck to hard. And because ppl don't understand when enough is enough and are out matched, it's the games fault??????
The thing is - People do not understand how cops can catch you when youre going full speed and have no idea that youre done.
But I guess we just have to wait for some pay2slowdownthecops upgrades and microtransaction items))
So you say it's completely normal that i'm going 290km/h and a police comes there at, at least, 330-350km/h with a BASIC CAR with enough force to take me a whole chunk of life? And that's it without me crashing into anywhere, if i happen to hit a tree or a wall then i'm *. That's not realistic at all. If i get a car that can approach 360km/h will those crown victoria reach 400km/h?

Actually they are engine swapped Crown Vics whose engine is Chiron's.
apart from that I like the way the police acts in game when you consider storyline how corrupt & dirty they are, you shouldn't expect anything less than they play dirty too. What's killing the fun part for me is rubberbanding cops, as I said before Crown Vics shouldn't ever have rocket engine where it is completely normal for Corvette interceptors.
No what will happen is cops will get nerfed into the ground.
The days of waiting to get chased will return and cop health will be like soggy toilet paper
Then people will get to the level where they should be constantly battling high heats then start moaning the cops are to easy and boring again.
All i'm saying is you don't rank down and if the end game is boring with the cops when you over come that mid 20 rep area because EA nerfs them people have only them self the blame due their lack of patience.
As someone who has almost done everything there is to do now. I can tell you end game cops get stupidly easy to deal with and with how fast you actually rank up everyone here will see that before the month is out.
I don't have a super car either. I have a Subaru Impreza. Very reliable car even in the end game. No problem with heat 5 escapes
