Re: EA app instantly crashing

Hey @madzo26,

I'm sorry to hear you're unable to play NFS Heat since you moved the installation folder. As you mentioned, the EA app has not been working properly since you made these changes. Perhaps a clean install will help with that. There's a program called Ccleaner that helps remove all cached, temp, and registry files.

To delete them, you can try using CCleaner to clear out issues and errors.

For instructions on how to use Ccleaner to uninstall apps, click here.

While we suggest using CCleaner, EA does not provide user support for this program–use it at your own risk. Please follow any installation guides straight from CCleaner when installing and performing program set-up. You can find help on CCleaner’s support page.

After that, try reinstalling the EA app and the game. Let us know how that goes,

Hi, thank you for responding to my message.

I've tried to uninstall the app with CCleaner but it didin't work also, tried installing on a different drive it didn't work also, tried updating every driver again it didn't work, booted in safe mode still no effect.

Can you tell me where could i get the logs for the crashes so i can find out what's causing or what process is in the background etc.

  • Hi again, so i tried to uninstall EA App with CCleaner again after trying everything else now it appears as something is probably corrupted as INST-21-577 error code appears.

    And here is the screenshot.

  • i think the problem is not the cache files, nor the graphics drivers, not to mention reinstalling does not help. maybe the app is bugged itself. i have contacted ea support and they said that this was a bug on their end too.

I think it's crashing because of win update, or it could be some backend issue that we still don't have a fix for, we gotta wait ig haha.

  • hi, @EA_cuervo  im having the first problem mentioned, which is the app crashing instantly after opening. i have tried methods  on the link you gave and it didnt work. here's a screenshot of the crashing if that helps.

The Windows error reporting part has a couple of errors, and it's also not displaying the information for your dedicated GPU correctly. These errors could be the reason why the EA app is not running as it should.

To fix that, you can try to:

    1 - Update Windows

2 - Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files

3 - Clean install your graphics card: Troubleshooting graphics on PC

Once that's done, please restart your PC, re-download the EA app installer from https://www.ea.com/ea-app and try installing the app again.

    I hope this helps,
