PK needs an increase in the risk to use it, thats why I'm proposing reduce mag size to 2 or 3, and decrease damage by one and remove one pellet, that will obligate PK users to play smart and not only press W and run into people landing 110 shots like nothing.(like now).
- 6 years ago@Sir_Named its not inconsistent, those 11 damage mostly is because there's not enough hp to do more damage. Everyone knows that.

Either way, you did hit a few low damage numbers, and if your enemy had really taken advantage of that, they could've gotten you. Or if they climbed up behind you and shot first. - 6 years ago@Sir_Named Sure the wattson could've killed me in that situation, but in that situation pk has the advantage, even a small antenna on the building help me to get cover to hide and peek and even one of those small shots landed a 64dmg, that's more than a bodyshot with wingman, and it's more difficult to land a Wingman shot, that's the main issue, even small shots can deal a lot of damage and its easy, thats low risk, like I said I don't even use the weapon, I only used it because it was the only thing I found, PK Main users on PC are insane, it's the only weapon they use, they barely touch their secondary weapons because they really don't need it.

Remove the PK completely and problem solved. Such a petty gun. The biggest bot can use it with no repercussions. You barely have to aim. The consistency is almost worse for people that have decent aim. Its like you have to drop a mental tier to use it.
Although I would rather see crossplay be released and aim assist removed before anything with the PK just my opinion.

@Sir_NamedOne of the previous updates (I think it was main season 4 update, but I'm not 100% sure) nerfed PK by increasing it's shot spread to force players to have to get closer to their enemies if they want to be still able to inflict 100+ points of damage with the weapon (that's why you see its famous 110 rarely and why you see 8-22s more).
They did it in two updates I guess, one was for PK itself and one was for its hop-up (the spread on the final Precision Choke level was increased so to reduce the range at which players can do damage with a fully charged shot using the Hop-Up)

- 6 years ago@Sir_Named That is such bull and you know it. The PK can do 60 plus damage in ranges where an AR should triumph. The problem is they do that damage without even aiming. They hip fire the whole time. Go look at my other thread with the videos from firing range. The PK is ALWAYS doing way more damage then it should. It shouldn't hit for more than 60 damage at ranges 11 meters and further. I feel like a lot of people on here don't understand how far 11 meters actually is. I got hit by 112 in ONE SHOT from a PK and then 11. So that tells you they were hip firing the whole time because the second shot only did 11 (one pellet) because their aim was SLIGHTLY off. That is stupid. Sadly PS4 didn't save that video.
This gun just honestly ruins the whole game. I was using a prowler and someone hit me twice with the PK each shot doing 44 damage (88 total) IN TWO SHOTS. I should have had the upper hand because the range was mid not close. I can post that video later.
But this whole "you have to be close" is just absolute *. - 6 years ago@SolitaryMassacre Mleh, kind of. It can be used at longer-ish ranges, but it gets much less consistent at that point.
In that example you gave, it kind of shows how inconsistent it can be. It did 112, but then only 11. - 6 years ago@Sir_Named Yes it did 11 because of the user. If it was 1v1 and not a rush of people in the same area, i would have gotten hit twice for 112. Why is it even doing 112 at a range an AR should have the higher advantage? This is why it needs to be changed. The hip fire accuracy needs to be seriously nerfed. It should be hitting for 11 MORE when hip firing, and the higher damage output should happen when you ADS. The inconsistency in this example has nothing to do with the gun, it was the user. The point I am trying to make is they did 112 damage WITHOUT aiming down the sights. The reason it did 11 the second time was because I started running. So they didn't "lead" their second shot. Which again shows the distance between us. It was so great bullet speed was a huge factor.
In my other thread, I made a picture where I increased the hip fire box and that is really all the PK needs imo. It doesn't need a million different nerfs. I don't know why they are so afraid to increase the hip fire box. Ranges like 10m and less you should be - 6 years ago@SolitaryMassacre Best to ignore some of the thing Sir_Named types.

That is truly the best way to prove that you are right. - 6 years ago@SolitaryMassacre It can get a nerf, I guess, it just feels very inconsistent and the great damage it deals may not be enough in a fight if you get a lot of low damage.
There also doesn't seem to be as many complaints about the PK in recent times, but whether that's because it's the end of the season and people are bored, or because it is a bit more balanced, who knows.
You obviously feel strongly that the PK needs more of a nerf. I'm somewhat okay with that, so I'm going to stop arguing this. I concede. - 6 years ago@Sir_Named To touch on why you don't see complaints - you do. They are just OLD threads. Nobody kept up with it. They would just give up because EA/Devs don't care. I just keep being annoying :D
But back to your ideas, yes, it should be doing high damage. But NOT simply by hip firing. Your shots will be more sporadic when hip firing and more accurate when you ADS, just like all the other guns in this game. There is no penalty for hip firing nor reward for ADS (unless choke is installed). If someone one taps me with a choke - that makes sense. Cause now the gun is like a hard hitting slug shotgun. I get that.
The only complaint I have is when people hip fire from across a room and land insane damage on me. While me, with an AR/SMG am FORCED to ADS to get my shots to count. When you ADS the entire fight changes. ADS as slowdowns, view obstructions, aim speed penalties, etc. It makes it harder. So a gun that is outputting huge damage, shouldn't be doing so when hip firing. - 6 years ago
The solution is easy, Respawn needs a different balance between console and PC, PK is a big problem on PC, people have better and faster aim on pc, most high level players have good PCs and run the game between 144 and 240fps and that helps A LOT with consistency on any weapon, that's why PK are super strong on PC, combined with Wingman or r-99 is just unstoppable, probably on console is not that strong because between the low fps and the 20hz servers, people are shooting enemies that are not even there and they're getting low damage shots when they probably are aiming correctly because of that.

Frames on pc is capped at 144, so 240 ain't really an issue yet unless changes happen in the future. - 6 years ago
@Leo_the_Lion25Xbox S and X have 120hz option, but apex don't reach 120fps, barely touch de 59-60fps so that feature is useless, hope the next gen will use that feature properly, and apex on pc is not capped, I'm getting 190-200fps with rtx 2080super at 1440p, you only need to change vsync to 1/2adaptative, and that's how you unlock your framerate, on 1080p apex reach 240fps easy.

- 6 years ago@Leo_the_Lion25 EA-Respawn are super greedy, for sure they're going to put their game on next gen to sell more skins, and give 0 F about their player base like at the beginning of the game and now.
-20hz servers
-Bad weapons and characters balancing
-Cheaters on PC ANYWHERE
-So many bugs at least on PC
-Bad interactions, i already made a thread listing at least 10 bad interactions in game and no one gives a F. - 6 years ago@audiofilomx There are a ton if bugs on ps4. Even some newer ones like the shield swapping glitch, instant rezzes but unable to heal, banner glitches, shield/heal inputs being laggy or not registering. Anytime they release an update it is always full of bugs, as they use the player base to playtest for them rather than ironing anything out before going live.
- 6 years ago@SpaceHamster1991 i don't play on console anymore, so thank you for let me know that apex on those platforms is the same spot than pc in the bugs department.
They probably never test their game before an update.
