Abandoneers, suggestion to combat them, and then a rant of my opinion

@DrWizardo quitters need to be punished
plain and simple
if they get locked out while their teammate yet lives, all the more punished they will be
Also, I don't really know what EA does about them, or what they can do other than what I just said above
Ban them? Too harsh.
Time them out? Too late.
Temporary Ban? A little harsh, but I guess that's about all they can do.
Lockout until their teammate finishes the match if they reported abandonment? It's cake compared to Ban, including Temp Ban, and it actually punishes compared to timeout while they are in bed or at work or otherwise gone for a while.
Whereas the join mid-match approach, though it would give us another teammate, we'd probably have to craft their banner and respawn them to bring them in.
Or be SOL if we dont got support.
Unless they grant us their banner automatically
But then what's to stop people from leaving and rejoining us to give us their expired banner?
EA will never do midmatch joins for BR. Because of that dilema.
So the only real punishment, that isn't overkill, is the punishment by abandonment report.
It's that or ban them, which is overkill.

I will give you the same answer I have heard for the last 3 years: use lfg if you don’t like randoms. Not picking on your point but if I don’t get jumpmaster every game is a hot drop to the lobby with randoms so as soon as I am knocked I am not waiting for the revive. Report me and if I get a ban or whatever I will do something else.
I want a ban for hot dropping teammates. They ruin my experience.
Or teammates who don’t rotate the way I want.

The list goes on. Granted respawn gives you the option to report certain ones and not others. In the end it amounts to the same, you are playing with random people who will play how they want. I honestly think a lot of them like the wait screens between loading and lobby.

As far as the abandonment penalty in any form it is a joke anyways. Keep a player out of que and he will find something else. Not good for a game that wants to grow.
