About matching with players you have blocked

Players blocked in-game should never be matched in-game.

If you block a player who has clearly sabotaged an ally, and then you are matched with that player again, I don't see the point of the block function at all.
Also, obvious sabotage against allies should be added to the in-game reporting items, and players who have engaged in sabotage against allies in the game should be subject to immediate and permanent account banning.

Anyway, to make the in-game player block feature work more effectively, you should not be able to match with a blocked player as the same team permanently unless you unblock them in-game.

Unless you play in master/predator lobbies where the number of queuing players is considerably lower compared do low and mid elos, then chances that you get the same teammate two times is very low if you just wait a couple of seconds before you press "ready" after you get out your last match.

The reason why its not a good idea to make it so you never get matched with blocked players is first of all that it can be abused to block out "bad" players, especially in higher elos where the player count is lower, like mentioned before. But also, we cant underestimate how such thing would affect the number of possible teams that can be formed among premade duos and solo Qs. Imagine if Player A blocks Player B who is premade with player C who blocks player D who blocks Player A who blocks Player E who blocks Player B..... With such "spider web" of un-doable teams, the queue time would possibly be considerably prolonged.

  • there's only 1-2 pred lobby per server and i can tell you that blocking them doesn't change that you have the same ppl every game in your team.

Exactly. I think the OP wanted that Respawn made it so that if you block someone, you never get in his team again when matching with randoms. And as you say; the number of pred lobbies active at the same time is probably very low so this would ruin the entire matchmaking.

I understand what you are saying, but I think that there are only a few players who blatantly sabotage their allies (e.g., intentionally descending out of the way when they become jumpmasters, or sabotaging their allies with shooting or fighting attacks all the time, etc.). Therefore, there is nothing wrong with blocking these players so that they will never be on the same team again.
The only way to avoid being on the same team that day is to wait a few seconds before pressing "ready", but there is a good chance that you will be matched with that player again when you play another day.
To prevent this, I think it is necessary to never be on the same team again with a blocked user.

If you abuse the system by blocking or otherwise abusing the system except for those few players who are clearly sabotaging their allies, and then you are told that the matches are extremely slow, I think you can only say that you are on your own.
  • Fully Agree They Should Not Be Allowed In Your Lobby At All. But The Devs Won't Allow That As People Will Just Block All The People They Dislike And The Devs Prefer You To Be Mad And Have A Bad Time Instead Of A Good Time.

im for a "tinder" like approach to select your team in advance ... you get presented with the options and you choose which team you want to be a part of.
Those teams can either accept or reject you ...
the players will be show with their latest stats/skill rating , there is no need to hide that stuff anyway.
the reasoning if it would be show it would be exploited is invalid ... even if its not shown it gets expoloited anyway ... so make that stupid skill rating visible or do you have something nefarious to hide ?!?
those teams get a MMR and get distributed to on one of the servers.
also it would be advisable to make the whole queue process so you can queue for more than one gametype.
the team selection process is now a ingame experience and not a part of the intransparent matchmaking so queue times likely will feel lower.

would solve quite some problems in Matchmaking.
