Account was hacked and currency stolen by hacker. EA refuses to refund.

My Account has been hacked/compromised.

I had reached out to EA about this on several occasions with no resolution for receiving my Apex Coins back from said Hack.

Why is that? Well because they can't prove I've been hacked. Yep, they said I haven't been hacked, because their tools say so.

Well I have actual video footage during my stream of this happening. Did they let me submit the footage? No.

I even have a picture of the native language of the hacker showing up in my Club Feed, but they still won't accept that as proof.

I have been violated and my money stolen from Me, but EA will not help protect their players.

This is not the first story I read about this happening. I would like someone from EA to step up to the challenge and resolve these issues.

It's not like the company would lose out on money to reimburse a victim their stolen in game currency.

    1) How was the currency stolen? As far as I know, the Apex coins are bound to the account that bought them.

    2) You post a screenshot of the user "Varidex"s activity in a club. How is this proof? Could be you playing.

    3) Since you post this thread from the account Varidex means that you still have access to the account.

    4) So if I understand you correctly, you want Respawn to give you a certain amount of coins back to the same account (Varidex) that already used those coins on that account, i.e you want to have Respawn to give you free coins that already were spent on that account. I dont think its that hard to understand that they might be reluctant to do this hrmm.

    Hey @Varidex,

I'm afraid we cannot address account related issues via the forums. I do see you mentioned speaking with multiple advisors already, but reaching back out if you still have concerns would be the best way to have this looked into again.

Aside from making sure you've taken steps to secure your account, all I can suggest would be reaching back out to support. You can find more information on how to reach them over at the EA Help website. If you prefer you can also speak with them over Twitter or Facebook instead.

@BalladalidilaWhat you fail to see is the region language switched to Chinese as opposed to English, my native tongue. The currency was spent. I am asking they retro-actively strip the items or whatever that was purchased back and refund the exchange. Most games can do this. Fortnite, PUBG even older games. I have access to the account, yes of course, because it's basic to regain control, change password and so on. But yes I am asking them to look into this other than telling me, "Nah, no one hacked your account."

  • @EA_Mako I could use the assistance to be able to upload the proof of my account being hacked to get them to change their decision on saying it wasn't compromised.

@Varidex Ultimately we're only able to use our own records to determine whether someone else has accessed an account, so we really wouldn't be able to use screenshots or video as proof.

That should typically be fairly apparent to an advisor looking through our records, but it's certainly possible something was missed.

You're welcome to reach out and have a new advisor take a look over the account so they can see what can be done here.
  • @EA_Mako I guess at this point I will have to contact the Better Business Bureau. The fact that nothing in Your systems shows anything and it happened before my very eyes is disturbing. I have been violated on many levels. Not only was my in game money used, that I payed for, but my personal information was on there. This is not some small happening. This is a serious matter and the fact that EA hasn't already resolved it shows they aren't takeing this serious enough.
  • they wont even take photo or video evidence - the absolute best kind of evidence - of people cheating(unless its a pro streamer crying and texting their buddy at EA/Respawn), what makes you think they would let you submit video of someone hacking your account lol sorry about your account dude, but youre absolutely right they should be fixing this for you. Someone got onto my Fortnite account one time, made purchases and EPIC refunded me quicker than it had happened.

if EA/Respawn is good at one thing, its running games and their community into the ground.

I'll be locking this thread as it's not something we can address on AHQ.

Please reach out to an advisor if your account has been compromised and they'll do what they can to assist after verifying the account has been re-secured.
