@Anubis_spirit995I'm getting bots as teammates almost every single match no matter the game mode, or at least I'm getting players who need to be locked in starter lobbies.
I had a level "211" Bangalore and a level "731" Mirage just a few minutes ago.
They looked like bots, (or "noobs"), because they were:
- Running around with no real direction or care in the world, not a single clue
- They were constantly running towards fights to seeming to want to loot the area, but when I pinged "enemy here!" they both ran away in two different directions
- I pinged a bunch of loot, and neither of them took it, despite needing it. I pinged level 4 backpack, both ran away from it, the Mirage played most of the match in white armor, both me and the Bangalore were pinging blue armor, (that's the only thing Bangalore pinged besides a sniper mag), and Mirage ignored every single ping. I pinged 5 different blue armor. Mirage only equipped better armor when they walked up to one on their own, (which suggests that they're a bot, because you'd think a bot wouldn't know what all the pings are).
- Mirage was randomly using his tactical with no real reason, didn't use his ult, Bangalore never used any of their abilities, even when they engaged in a fight. When in a fight, Mirage was aiming down sights when a target was about 7 meters away, using a Wingman, while the Bangalore didn't even shoot, they just ran in a random direction and got knocked.
- Throughout the match, Bangalore would randomly stop walking and then punch before moving again.
Rank is pointless with this matchmaking. Bad teammates VS last season's diamonds to preds who actually know how to fight and not rat with a gun held out.@Anubis_spirit995Totally agree with you. Matchmaking always give me human bot teammates, always. Lobby is full filled with Smurfs, Cheaters (you don't believe I catch how many wallhack) and Aim Assist (I play with controller btw.).
Just had a Revenant that pushed a full team by themselves, I typed "you're alone, fall back", and they died. Second random then also tried to push the team by themselves.
This is in ranked, in "silver" lobbies, the enemy team had pred badges.
10/10 matchmaking

Next game, had a Catalyst and an Octane. Octane was bad at shooting and was the first knocked after landing, both me and Catalyst killed the team attacking us, and I picked up Octane. After looting up and healing, Octane then ran off into Narnia, and put the team at a major disadvantage.
Why are these players allowed to keep being in ranked? I'm talking about the AFKers, the bots, the cheaters, the smurfs, etc., I know I sometimes run off as a solo, but that's when I know my teammates are awful, and I run off to avoid losing points. Besides I'm still helping the team as they get points if I survive long enough. (Kills should count more again, not placement).level 13 - 17 kills put the whole squad down!
in ranked random player's just run away from team!
EA just suck money from the players!
why ban cheaters and solve the problem with smurfs if you can sell one more old skin just in a different color!- Vdstrk2 years agoSeasoned Ace@Anubis_spirit995 I do not play ranked. I only play pubs. And I just run into smurfs and cheaters constantly.
Can we please region lock and add ID verification of registered account? Level 211 and 731 do take quite a few hours of game to acheive, especially at 700. So that is really odd, you'd get Bots showing up at these levels. I've seen Bots in the game, but all of them were only around level 10-20.
I'm not sure if the game is still seeing big bot waves, but when they started out, again, all of the bots I'd see were only at these levels, so this is odd.
@AnyBrains Its possible that its just players who haven't played in a while, maybe a family member or friend who's on those player's accounts. Its also possible that it is an actual bot with fake stats to make it appear as a real player. I've seen several players who played like bots and were between level 100-500 so it could be any of those things.
If it is an actual bot, it shouldn't show higher level badges, while also being locked to orientation matches only. I should also keep in mind that players can level up by surviving as well, which if it is a real player, all they're doing is just looting then dying. It makes less sense then S18 ALGs level of difficulty matchmaking that we currently got.
Another thing to also note is that some cheaters try not to get caught. So, its also possible that they were cheaters who were playing dumb to throw off the "anti-cheat", (if you can call EAC that anyways), and/or to throw off any players who had suspected them.
At this point, who knows.
The line between human and bot is very thin in this game. Sometimes players thought I was a bot, like before we got the ability to mute our teammates completely, I would see "are you some kind of bot?" in the chat because I would do things that either they didn't agree with or it didn't make sense to them, (like falling back or pushing an advantage).
I can also admit that I've had off days where I'd tell myself to pick up the slack while feeling bad to have to get carried by the randoms. Other days, its the randoms who get carried. Its normal to have good and bad days. The problem with Apex is that even on good days, we'd run into someone who's cheating or simply just way out of our league. While on bad days, instead of the MMR putting us in matches that it thinks we can handle, it keeps us in the tougher lobbies until it feels like giving us a win.
A lot of us are casual players, so I don't expect majority of the playerbase to be good at the game either. I just wish to see some sort of effort from players. Sometimes I'd get randoms who would apologize for being bad, but they would also try to work as a team and do their best. That's all I could ask for from randoms. Instead I just get randoms who might as well be disconnected since there's no effort being put in from them at all, which may explain why I'd sometimes get no teammates in ranked. (That part is a joke, but who knows).
The "hidden MMR" was suppose to group players more fairly, but we've all seen that it didn't work. That's partly due to players smurfing on new accounts where the system has to keep recalibrating. Yet, with the game feeling like it uses an EOMM system rather than SBMM or anything else, I'm not entirely sure. I'm just at the point where its a bot if it just runs and loots while barely shooting. So, basically if it acts like a firing range dummy, its a bot.I hear ya, many of the mechanics of this game are in a sad state, and needs some serious overhauling, if this game is in it for the long haul.
- @Anubis_spirit99 your not alone with feeling this way and it's sad to say but nothings going to be done about this. It's a fact. They claim they're doing this they are doing that but don't be fooled it's the same song and dance it's been for the last 3 years. Yes small improvements here and there mainly catering to pc as they do nothing about console cheaters with third party plugins cause that's either a Microsoft or playstation issue not a respawn problem as they've said in the past. So I for one will be laughing when ea pulls the plug cause they already had a disastrous quarter and how they think it's just gonna bounce back is funny while everything continues to happen and people are done with it all.
- @Anubis_spirit995 It's only going to get worse. It's pretty pathetic if you ask me. Not only is it pathetic to cheat and use these strike packs (save the comments don't care) and it's especially pathetic that EA and Respawn continue to turn a blind eye and act like they can't doing anything and when they do its typically catered. I'll continue to not spend a dime and regret the money that was spent cause it clearly didn't go to them fixing this game at all just becoming the next steaming pile of crap.
