The problem isn't just with Octane, although I partially agree with your point.
Currently, the most broken legend is Axle, who needs immediate nerfs. Overall, the game has too many strange and fast moves – I agree with that.
The problem with Octane mainly occurs when someone uses tap strafe via a cfg modification. This causes Octane to jump left and right every 0.1 seconds while firing, making it very difficult to hit him. It's the cfg modification that should be banned, not Octane himself.
Respawn hasn't done anything about it for years. Do you think anything will change? More and more people are looking for shortcuts to be "better." Yes, better in every unfair way. It's sad.
