That would be a rather big buff, would you take anything away to balance it out?
- @EA_David The only thing I can think of is possibly take away the damage from a direct smoke hit.
I wouldn't want to take anything away from the ultimate as I feel it's still easy to evade compared to the Gibraltar ultimate. - SERPENT_DESCEND6 years agoSeasoned Ace@Pure_Funk_Nugget That would be too op, Dont forget the fact that her smoke is a lot easier to deploy and covers larger area and is harder to see through than Caustic gas, Also Caustic can only see through his gas because of his passive.
@Pure_Funk_NuggetAs someone who has played bangalore more than most other legends, I agree with @SERPENT_DESCEND about this suggestion as it would be too overpowerred... I do have moments where I ‘’smoke myself’’ in a compacted area and the smoke is so thick you can’t see a damn thing occasionally but for the most part I think bangalore is just where she needs to be in the game right now also she has one of the smallest hitboxes in the game and with doubletime activated in a smoked room its really easy to outplay the enemy team solo just running around and looking for the key shadows and shooting in that general area until you hit them and then predicting their movements
The only Buff I would like to see for Bangalore would be for her Rolling Thunder because compared to Gibralters its way too easy to not take any damage from her ultimate and it is usually a waste of an ultimate unless its to keep a team near the edge of the storm to slow them down while they are forced to run as the ring is closingThat would be broken and Bangalore would smoke every single opponent directly so she can beam them. This would also be annoying since not all teammates will use a digi. Make us blinded by our own teammate.
Bangalore doesn't need that passive buff.
Caustic his find with it because he needs to waste an ultimate or he needs to actually trigger his gas canisters against the enemy. Caustic is skillful with his passive.
Bangalore needs to use digi to remain skillful with her smokes the way you suggested.
Giving Bangalore that buff from the get go is too strong. She needs to get the digi to do the things you want to do fairly.
- @EA_David Increase her damage taken by 100%, remove double time buff, increase hitbox size. Then you can have sight inside smoke.
- @EA_David If they ever thought about adding this in, they'd need to make some sort of nerf to the smoke to balance it. Reduce the timing of it, make areas players run through the smoke disappear, or take away the second shot.
- @Pure_Funk_Nugget But but Revebomb still needs a buff. Last buff is not enough, Revebomb is still weak. Buff Revebomb!
Who is Zangalore? - @EA_David Since Bangalore is professional soldier, perhaps tactical buff and passive buff that allows her to use other ordinance in her launcher?
So instead of pulling out the throwable item, it instead just toggles it into her smoke launcher. The exact nuances of how that would work would need tweaking but one way could be:
- She has 4 grenade selections in her grenade wheel
- Using the launcher for any grenade consumes a tactical usage
- This would allow players to essentially fire ordinance upto 2 times quickly
- Better aim control with launcher, making her more skilled in grenade usage
- Tapping L2 while ordinance is loaded and L1 is held resets it back to gas
Bangalore is in a decent spot, this final touch would make her highly competitive. One idea was to temporarily reduce movement speed after using smoke, but I'm not sure how well that would feel when playing Bangalore.
Another thought was If you hit an enemy with the smoke canisters when it explodes it tags them making them identifiable as if you had the Digital Threat optic. This way you have to accurately hit the player with the smoke in order to get the extra ability. There could be an identifying powdered in the smoke grenade that is left on nearby players, allowing Bangalore to see them through the smoke.
Her glasses are able to detect the identifying powdered or residue. If you were to smoke the same player(s) again that were tagged you would be able to see them again because they still have the powder on them. This would also hold true if they were tagged early in-game and then ran through smoke late game. (if that is too OP then you could say each Bangalore has their own unique identifiable powered in their grenades, but that could be a neat experience when the late game as a Bangalore you happen to see another player tagged in smoke from earlier on and from the other perspective if you get tagged you need to remember not to run through the smoke!)
