Bangalor's Ultimate is very bad

I cannot remember the last time I got hit by, or got a hit WITH Bangalore's ultimate

It is, in every way, inferior to Gibraltar's mortar strike

The BIGGEST issue is you get WAY to much warning regarding it

Gibraltar's you get an audio que, and then immediate pain

Bangalore, you hear and see them drop, and then have a good chunk of time to get out of the way

I definitely think her ultimate needs some tweaking to ACTUALLY be threatening

  • The point of Bangalore's ult is to do exactly what you describe, to get the enemy to "get out of the way" well, mostly the "get out" part.

For me, Bangalore is a character that shines the brightest when your team is at a disadvantage in a fight, either being that the enemy team has a better position than you, or that they are just flat out outgunning your squad.

Here is what I mostly use Bangalore's ult for :

    Offensive :
    - Get the enemy squad to get out of cover, like rocks, which may allow you to melt down enemies if they re-appear out in the open.

    Defensive :
    - If an enemy squad starts a fight with you and they have a better position, you may use her ult to pause most gunfights and have your squad reposition, and if you are lucky, the enemy may reposition to a position where YOU have an advantage.

    - If your squad is just plain out losing a gunfight, you can use your ult as a "reset" button, you can even combine it with smokescreens to convince the enemy to not push you, this may give your squad some time to pop some heals and start the fight over or just run away.

With that said, the rest of Bangalore's kit is a jack of all trades, and her passive is 10/10 for gunfights.

And sure, Gibraltar's ult has killing potential, but might as well have, his T I T A N I C hitbox doesn't really help in gunfights, you might as well hit him with an entire R-99 clip from 500m away and you won't miss a single bullet.

  • I think you don't understand it's very good well dmg is bad but keep on mind you are disoriented if you get dmg but her ult kinda similar of caustic gas

  • No ult in this game should be free wins. I love Gib but wish his ult actually reflected him and did not give me free kill in the right situations.

In a world when some ults (say Caustic) are worse then most tactical skills, the game needs real balancing pretty soon

  • It's only bad compared to Gibraltar's Ult. Compared to Pathfinder's, Wraith's, Nox', Mirage's, LifeLine's, it's pretty solid.

  • I think its best used as an area denial or follow up damage and is completely fine.

When pushing an enemy that is damaged, drop it on them or behind them to stop the escape.

Throw it on downed enemies to secure the kill and block revives.

It is not a kill ability in itself which is what none of the legends should have.

Bangalore is also hands down the strongest skirmisher in the game for 1v1 or team fight, she can maneuver around easily due to the passive and it makes her harder to hit. She gets to decide if a fight is fought or not (and in what range) in almost any situation, by utilizing her blazing fast speed and vision denial with smokes.

To increase her ultimate power would push her further up in the power chain, which she already is the queen of.

I think they could just improve her ult by reducing the time until the rockets/bombs explode.

I totally agree that, in comparison to Gibraltar, you have enough time to get out of the area with sliding or something and don’t get any damage.

  • Bangalore is probably the most well rounded for a fight than any other Legend. I play her all the time as I tried others and no other Legend is as close to usefulness in a fight than her. If anything make other Legend up to par with her.
