Bring Back RE-45 Auto

I’m very annoyed and disappointed to have read in the latest patch notes that the RE-45 is now permanently burst. The original RE-45 has been my favorite gun since I first started playing back in season 3. Meaning I’ve bought more skins for it than most guns, I’ve built stats on it more than most guns, I’ve had more fun in my games when I use it, I’ve patiently waited 7 YEARS for RE to get its reactive skin (it’s now the second to last gun left to get a reactive skin), and I’ve patiently waited for the TEMPORARY burst version to be reverted without complaining in any forums or in-game surveys until now. So, if the burst does stay permanent, all the money I spent on RE skins is a complete waist because I don’t enjoy using the burst version, I can no longer look forward to a nice game of Apex with the same anticipation that every R9 or R3 user has when they hop on to use their favorite gun (they’d be pissed if their favorite gun was functionally changed), and when the RE reactive skin finally comes out after 7 years I won’t even be able to properly enjoy using it on the original RE that I’d always hoped to use it on.

This issue hits a little harder for me because I also really enjoyed OG Revenant (mainly for his silencer) and his heirloom was the first one that I ever got. And now I barely use it or any of the skins I bought for him because new Rev just isn’t really my play style.

That’s the problem with these kinds of major permanent changes to guns and characters. It feels like a total waist of time and money as well as making the game a lot less fun for people who enjoyed such things how they originally were.

Anyway I’ll try to stop complaining now and give my proposition. Regarding the RE-45, I think the best thing to do is either to add the burst as a secondary fire mode or to give that mechanic to a whole new gun.

That way anyone who prefers the old or the new version can both be happy and all the above mentioned issues would be resolved.

And side note on character changes like Rev, I think it would be worth considering implementing old mechanics into the perk system. Again that way both old version and new version lover can be happy. And it would honestly make the game so much more interesting for unique games.

Hope this reaches someone who can do something about it. Because I really love Apex, but we all know the sorry state that it’s been crawling in and out of lately and things like this really don’t help settle the urge to hit uninstall and move on.

If it does, thank you in advance!

  • To whomever spat out the words or wrote the following - "Moving back to its light version only muddies the design space around the R-99, Alternator, and the rest of the light weapons."

You are a very uneducated individual, and clearly have lost complete touch with this game, its player base, and I'll go as far as to say, your level of intelligence and lack there of when it comes to understanding business models is severely lacking.

How stupid do you think we are!? I've been playing since season 0 - please explain to me in a coherent response after 6 years of the OG Re-45 standing along side it's counterparts, that only now, one of you brain rot infected Dev's actually tries to use this bulls**t excuse "it now muddies the design space." What a complete bunch of garbage, and complete bulls**t excuse.

That fact that the following is lost on you speaks volume and that you are too young, or incapable of using your brain and need more life experiences when making decisions that effect the wallets of your player base. I have done a portion of the math on my hard earned money spent on Re-45 skins since the first one was added to the shop years ago. I have only spent money on LL skins and Re-45 skins. I have calculated upwards to almost $1000 dollars spent only on the Re-45 - probably more if I was to sit down and do the math to a science.  As well all know and so should YOU - Nobody spends money on weapon skins for weapons they do not use or like! This is COMMON SENSE - why do you not have it, I'm assuming you are adults correct?

So $1000 dollars or more spent on a weapon that has been in the game for over 6 years, knowing dam well many many users purchased skins for it - and you go and change it, and not slightly like changing the recoil, or damage output, or spray pattern et cetera.... no you changed it into a completely different gun in every single aspect and one that only a small percentage of players will be able to use, and be affective with it (ramp up, burst) - it takes a lot of time and training and skill to be really good with ramp up weapons; average casual players, mostly aren't very affective with them.

So for me personally, I don't like the new completely different version of the weapon, I will not use it now and all that hard earned money spent on my absolute favorite weapon, are now completely useless! I wasted that money on a weapon I assumed would stay - I mean, why else would you sell skins for it otherwise?

The only thing you have taught me is that you are crooks, and to never, I mean NEVER again, spend my money on any skins you make and add to your cosmetic store, because you have proven that at any given time you can make decision; brain dead decisions to screw over the ones that did spend money. You all make me sick!

I'm done with Apex Legends. You Respawn are without a doubt, the most incompetent, crooked and cringe worthy gaming company in the industry.

I urge every player to realize that spending your hard earned money on Legend skins and especially weapon skins is a huge risk while this dev team is making decisions that effect your money spent. I only hope others do not end up in the same boat down the road.
