My bad. The videos now work lmao. I didn't realize that. But just watch them, this thread is comparing a crate weapon to a random pickup. Random pickups should be way below the damages of any crate weapon - ergo, NERF THIS POS.
You don't really have to be that close to your target. I lose to this gun with ranged weapons because they take my shield out in one shot, then take my health out in another. Add the fact this is a squad game and 3rd partying seems to be the only way people play - you got a PK tearing through you plus at the very least one other person hitting you. You can't even run away because one more shot from a PK and you're dead. I have had many people hide behind corners, charge the PK choke, pop up and end me. Like, BS. Even if you rush them, you close the distance and now even without it choked you're dead. Its just stupid you don't even have to aim with it.
With that said, the ONLY nerf I think this gun needs is a HUGE hip fire window. Now, if you hip fire, you HAVE to be super close to have all the projectiles hit. This is the breakdown I think it should be:
Hip Fire - HUGE box that only allows like 1-3 projectiles to hit you
ADS NO CHOKE - Now the hit box is shrunk to where it is now
ADS CHOKE - Normal behavior but max of 90 damage not 110.
The problem with this gun is nobody freaking aims. They always hip fire which allows them to move more easily, evade, and rush. Something I can't do with my Flatline or similar gun because I HAVE to ADS to hit my target at that range.
@SolitaryMassacre I wasn't in favor of nerfing anything but I love this suggestion. Spreading the hip-fire turns it into an ADS high damage shotgun with low rate of fire while the EVA-8 remains a low damage but easy to use hip-fire gun. I wouldn't lower the damage at all since the PK isn't good enough for endgame (despite the arena shrinking) but make sure it has a sharp damage drop off beyond a certain range without the choke.
As for comments about running into a PK user around a corner... bad luck? The PK user likely heard you and crept into the best position possible to use his gun so that fight should've been fairly one sided. Its a cheap way to fight but nobody fights fair in this game.
A shot gun should be the most devastating weapon at close range so any suggestion that might make things more "even" with any other gun seems like nonsense to me. Of course the PK should have easily exploitable weaknesses as a draw back to its close range power.

@heme725PK is the king of endgame, on pc of course, another thing that devs should start doing is balancing weapons separately on console and PC, PK on Pc has no counter, is the best gun at any moment, in console r-99 and aimassist is pretty OP so they can kill someone with pk very easy, but on console that is not the case, Pk on Pc should have 2-3 Shot per magazine.
- 6 years ago@audiofilomx I use a controller on PC, and I don't think the R99 and aim assist is helpful lol. Tbh, aim assist is kind of annoying, I like fine movement and control on my guns WITH a joystick xD

@audiofilomx Balancing weapons for different platforms may carry more hassle than benefit. Like the Wingman the PK is strong but not a top gun on consoles so I don't think the community will mind much if its nerfed. Its insane for early game and good mid-game but weapons like the R-99, R301 and Prowler likely dominate the final round for consoles.
Obviously I can't speak for the whole PS4 community and I still disagree about the PK.
P.S. I'm not sure what you were implying with aim assist but it is a little annoying hearing people overrate its effectiveness.
- 6 years ago@heme725 I played on both PC(m&k) and Xbox sometimes with my friends that not own a Pc, and only playing like that you can feel the aim assist power, but that's why we need a different approach for Pc and Console, Pk is the best gun at any point in the game, on endgame is just the king, is the most used weapon on PC, i know that console is different, even anvil receiver is used more often on console, on pc nobody use that ❤️❤️❤️❤️, prowler is good on pc but r-99, PK and wingman are the kings, and i saw a lot of people using prowler or hemlock on console, on Pc master lobbies nobody use anything else, Pk+r99 and wingman+Pk are the only combos used, Pk needs a nerf but a stronger one on PC than console
- 6 years ago@heme725 I seriously want a much wider hip fire box for the PK and a little bit bigger one for the Eva-8. Any other FPS, the hip fire on shot guns is MASSIVE.

while ads reduced to 75% from 91%, i think that will eliminate the hide and shot tactic used by pk users, and ammo reduction to 3 on Pk.
Maybe Mozambique increase ammo to 6 and no hammerpoint.- 6 years ago@audiofilomx I wouldn’t change the Mozambique that way, it has it’s own little niche as a health destroyer and it’s fine like that. Also, the nerfs you are proposing would be devastating and would destroy the pk and the Eva. Also, I don’t see how reducing ads speed would discourage people hiding in a corner, as they don’t have to move to shoot you when you come into their line of sight.
