Can we please talk about the problem with season 3 and the map.

First of all I would like to say congratulations for giving the community and myself a very enjoyable experience for these past 2 seasons; it has been a lot of fun to play apex and wrack up kills/wins and some awesome clips for YouTube and the world to see.

Now let us get into the issues with apex for this post, first of all, PLEASE, for the love of god, TURN THE SOUND FX DOWN! Every time I play this game, something tends to make my ears ring after playing. Please reduce the following sound fx:

- crypto's drone

- the static sound when people start to drop from the drop ship

- sound fx in general needs to be lowered a lot more when it is in the game, i understand that the louder it is, the more emphasis it has, but if its soo loud that you brain starts to hurt, then this is most definitely a problem.

Here are a bunch of other issues wrong with the game from season 3 launch:

- The sun is too bright

- Some areas in the map are too vibrant, the colours start to hurt my eyes (not sure if it hurts other people's but it definitely does hurt mine)

- Every single gun has been changed so that long range battles are favoured more, but now the game just seems bland, fights just seem.. boring

- R301/FLATLINE/R99/ and the new energy gun are the best 4 guns to use, every other gun is mediocre when compared to them (energy weapons still work pretty well though!), the game doesnt feel like it has synergy anymore

- The map is too big, it completely destroys the need for team play when there is no cover, lack of loot, most of the map is empty, and the entire map practically looks the same (loot/house wise)

- Bloodhound feels useless to use now, wattson feels a little useless with crypto being op, crypto's drone does need to come out a little faster, the two second delay is a little annoying, plus we should be able to cancel it at anytime (This is what I think).

- This game feels more like a running simulator than what was offered in its current state, please do something about this.

- The alternator feels a little weak now

- The loot is very scarce and needs to be updated ASAP

- Adding a penalty for leaving the game early was a good idea, but my game still shockingly crashes around 2 hours after playing, so i have to restart the game manually to stop this, will i still be penalised?

I hoped for season 3 there would be some really thought about new content (great job on the season pass btw!) which would be meaningful, the new double tap hop up for the EVA feels a little weak, maybe its time the EVA got some love and a nice buff?

There are more issues that are wrong with the game, but I can't currently think of them.

Please give us a map which was similar to kings canyon, others may have hated the map, but I loved that map (and I'm sure many others did too, and still will after playing this new map). Also, I understand the need for changing the meta, But I personally felt that even though some guns were a little op, each gun prior to the changes, needed to be nerfed/buffed. I do not feel like the r301 needed the new hop up, since it was very overpowered in its current state, the disruptor rounds definitely needed to be removed, BUT, nerfing them would have also worked. I feel like some of the new areas need to be re-done, they look very similar compared to how kings canyon looked, and I hate to say it but, apart from some parts of the new map looking spectacular (like the new locked room which only crypto can open), I actually hate this current live version of the game and I am not enjoying it that much at all, I feel like the developers are catering to long range too much, maybe it was mostly because people complained about being third partied way too much, But I will say one thing, after getting third partied 5-7x in a row, and surviving the entire fight, it is very enjoyable and a good bonding experience. 

I would also really prefer the rest of the apex community to comment on here and please tell me your thoughts on the current live version of this game.

I pushed 2 squads who were fighting only to get downed unluckily, one squad was wiped, the second was too far away to do any sort of pushing, the FIRST storm was incoming, and these "teammates" proceeded to refuse to revive me just so they could get my loot.

So now we're getting kings canyon back, but only with solo mode.. lol what's wrong with this company >_<

    @MoNosDirtyGaming Season 3 is a joke, absolutely no streamer is liking the abandonment penalty, because it does not belong in a battle royal. You don't ruin someone else's match, they ruin yours. You developers have absolutely crapped on Apex for Season 3, I'm not wasting a God damn penny on a battle pass or skin, I can easily wait 2 more weeks for the new COD to come out.

    @MoNosDirtyGaming So this is going to sound pessimistic, but it’s the honest truth from someone who has several thousand kills and plenty of hours played on apex. I hate what this season pass has done to the game.

    - I hate the new map, it is boring, repetitive, too wide open, and too massive.
    - removing Kings canyon was a huge mistake. I did win a game and finish top 3 in a few others today while playing worlds end, but i never once enjoyed the games I was in. For this reason, I put down the game earlier tonight than usual, and am not sure I have the desire to play it again for awhile. Without the old map that I loved, I am just not interested. If there were two maps, then maybe I would learn to love this new one over time. But forcing it on me just makes me want to stay away until my favorite locations are back.
    - WHAT did Respawn do to the guns and attachments! I thought the game was pretty fairly balanced before.... but now they have changed things that didn’t need changing. R99 was also super powerful, but really only at close range. Disrupter rounds were a little OP, but that could have been solved by making them a legendary attachment like you did with the skullpiercer (which was also removed when it really didn’t need to be). The new hop ups are neat enough, as they make weapons a little more versatile, but that doesn’t really matter given the extreme focus on snipers and he totally OP spartan laser that was implemented (yes that’s a halo reference). The charge rifle isn’t a gun I needed. All I want for new weapons is some basic guns.... you know like sub machine guns and pistols and shotguns. I don’t need a new wild and exotic energy weapon every season.
    - the battle pass is fine... but like I thought with both of the previous battle passes, I wish I could get more legendary apex packs rather than getting a predetermined legendary skin at 4 points in the pass. The fun of having legend skins is having those that are different from others, but anyone who completes the battle pass will have the same skins as everyone else.
    - lastly, I’m still finding most aspects of the shop to be overpriced and unexciting. Meanwhile, I have about 200k legend tokens that are useless unless I first spend $20 on a gun skin.

    Ultimately, I was very excited for season 3 to start. But now I’m mostly just disappointed. I don’t know why so many dramatic changes had to be made after the game was finally back on track from all of the issues that has cropped up over the summer. I’m really not excited to come home and play the game now. My recommendation for Respawn.... reset the guns and hop ups to their pre- season 3 status, then add the new hop ups, and bring back kings canyon. Also, fix your ridiculous ring that moves even faster on this crappy giant bum map.

    @GoSoxAV8 I'm in the same boat as you sadly, 11k+ kills in total and I feel as though this game has finally run its course, but I just wanted to make sure that I ain't the only one feeling this way.

    I agree with a lot of what people have mentioned but at the same time, The map is fine. And there are jump towers everywhere. People just want to frag out all the time and not pay attention to the storm. Which is annoying. I get the whole running simulator, but I honestly enjoyed playing it today for 3-5 hrs. I never really felt in the 50 games I played that I was running to much. If anything I felt like I was tired of being matched with these psychopaths in gold that wanted to push every moving object. 

    The guns were just as unbalanced at the end of season 2 as they are the beginning of season 3. People that are really upset their favorite spot or gun or legend has been tweaked, nerfed, taken away: relax. Maybe you are just getting  tired of EA in general, which is understandable. You sat there and hoped for the best for your personal needs and they just weren't met. 

    I personally have no issue with any gun. I don't pick up what I know I will be crap with after trying them all and that is less than half of the weapons. Only because im not good with them. Other than I have a nice balance of weapons that will get the job done. The r99 works like a charm for me, and I'm so satisfied with the peacekeeper and shotguns. Even if I am on the recieving end. 

    But there does need to be fixed bugs, audio, red coins, penalty charges and maybe some other stuff. 

    I had no connection issues, the colors of the map me and a bunch homies agreed were beautiful and in fact loved the attention to detail. Idk a lot of pros/* but nothing major. 

    We all knew EA wasn't going to do some SPECTACULAR.

    We all know abut this is nice and can be worked with easy of the 124 days of season 3, which I think is a bit excessive but that's just me.

    so respawn pushing the game to long range camping meta where every1 camp in a building with watson and cripto and have all information in the world and spam energy weapon without 0 drop to 1km long great job you made this game unfun to play

    Adapt, people.

    Adapt to the meta. Longer range does not mean you have to shoot from 500m away.

    I'm so sick of R99-Peacekeeper combo meta in the past. This is a Welcome change.

    Love it so far.

    The main issues I'm hearing about are bugs that need to be fixed and some areas are lacking loot? Pretty annoying problems but nothing this game hasn't seen before. Beyond that are complaints about the change in play style which is... fair. I've never seen snipers as a threat so seems like it'll be interesting to try this new map out. 

    Changes to the weapons, Legends, and map might be too much for players to adapt to at first so that was a mistake. Still I can't wait to see what the actual issues are once things have settled down.

    Honestly, I don't even think that characters getting a nerf is the issue, it is the way the game feels, huge open field with a few boulders, so snipers win over all, you can't run anywhere like you could in the previous ma; and even if you tried you'd just get lazered by the new gun.
    It's not that i'm tired of EA, I just expected the same updates as season 2, where they kept everything the same but just added a few new things to mix it up. The map was already diverse, every gun did actually feel balanced to me, for example there was nothing more satisfying then chasing someone down who had an r99/r301 and then no scoping him in the face with a kraber, or taking out full squads who would third party over and over and over again. THAT is what I personally think made the game fun, now it's just players sat back with pathfinder sniping, and as soon as you get close to them they zipline away >_>

    Where do you land? I've tried every single place and the loot seems a good distance between each other, unlike the previous map, and 9/10 you need to run to 4 different areas just to find your first single attachment.

    124 days for a season is waaay too long, the season time they had for season 1-2 was too much also, it should be reduced a little or kept the same.

    @d3adc3II It's not about adapting bro, Literally every fight its people with a flatline/r301 or the new weapon, because lets face it they're both a lot more stronger now and op, they should have never buffed the r301, it was perfect how it was, now it's just a lazer machine, and honestly, it's actually really easy to combat a r99/peacekeeper, you just stay in medium to long range combat, or advance movement at close range can easily stop them from killing you, r99 has a fast clip, and most people were bad at aiming, so it was pretty easy to dodge bullets, the r301 was buffed up so it was as fast as a r99 pretty much, which I felt was balanced. Now close range guns on the map just feel useless for endgame, because its all just an open field.

    Give this game a week mate, you might change your mind ^^
