delete heat shield!

The item you have suddenly implemented, the heat shield, has gained a bad reputation in Japan.

It's not a new experience, it's just a * specification that makes the game boring. Do the apex developers want to break and ruin the game?

The ability to use barriers inside the damage area may have seemed like a revolutionary idea, but it simply encourages power plays instead of enhancing the strategy of how to get to the safe zone and fight.

I found the Apex boring, at least after the heat shield was implemented!

If you want to make apex better, delete heat shield now.

Now!

    It's not an extreme case.

I've tried it myself and it's possible. All you need to do is to collect the materials for the replicator at each location while enduring outside the safe zone, and when you have collected all you need, the three of you can start powerplaying outside the safe zone with the heat shield.

Look, it's not an extreme case. It's easy to replicate. At least I have been able to replicate it many times with the help of my friends. It's not a matter of luck or bad luck, it's a matter of scrambling to collect replicator materials and using replicators that have fallen in the vicinity of the narrowing area.

You should try it if you have friends too. You'll see just how boring the heat shield can be.

  • Squads or solos with a replicator near end zone can craft "limitless" heat shields with a cost of 50 to win endgame without engaging the fight.

My team lost because of this.. This has nothing to do with skill or something to make the game better, interesting...

Please remove this item, it makes the game terrible, with squads that wants wins by camping.

Please remove it, with this new item comes more bugs and players that find new ways to abuse it.

This is an extreme case where they stocked up on them AND the circle ended on a replicator. Its the same thing as if a final ring ended on a vertical cliff and one squad had a vertical reaching character. It would feel OP at the time, but really it was just lucky.

  • With time, Ring Flares will hit harder and spawn more often. I can't say I've lost any game due to another team turtling with heat shields outside the area, but if you're in trios, last 2 squads alive, final ring and you don't have 6 available heat shields, you're doing something wrong. I've actually won 2-3 games vs squads or solo players that tried staying outside the last ring. With 0 kills. So "delete heat shield!" is a stretch, to say the least.

  • I personally don't think there is anything wrong with the heat shield other than the whooshing noise and the bug where when u pick it up to put in the extra slot. For instance, when you pick up another heat shield to recharge the one u dropped u have to drop either ammo or a nade to put it into ur inventory. I also think the color needs to be changed it's way too confusing when ur in the storm and it's the same color same goes for the Gibby bubble it hurts ur eyes and definitely plays tricks on ya
