Divisional Promo Trials: Need Loss Provention

I'm back to playing ranked again. I really like the new system but yet again there is an obvious miss on the devs part.

I have loaded into a number of ranked matches with out a squad. No matter the outcome this game will count towards one of the promo trials. Would it really be such a bad thing to not count the game towards the trial count but still let positive progress if by chance the player is able to make any? 

What happens if you get a toxic player that throws the games. Its happened.... alot. Still happens.

Just annoying that YOU put me in a no win situation and I have to eat the loss.

I get its just one and even if you fail the trial one game should start the trial again. 

But the not haveing a squad at start has been an issue for years.

Do the devs really just ignore this possibility?
