I don't want to say that it's normal to wait 12+ months to stabilise the game, I just wanted to point some facts to our friend up there, he is compering Apex with Fortnite like it is here for 5 months and its flawless already with all that shiny * everywhere.. Fortnite is stabilized game right now and have for everyone something etc but they needed a lot of time to make it like this, that is the thing our friend and many ppl don't understand.. I read so many comments on this forum, people act like making and programming games is easy to do.. If that was easy and fast process I would do it for fun lmao.. Ok, it's their job to make it good but still, it's not easy and fast process..
Oh I totally agree that comparing Apex to Fortnite isn't a fair... although it is true that both games were initally rushed to market to capitalize on the BR trend. It is true that many people have very little notion of how much work creating a game actially is, and how even small changes can be complex and time-consuming to implement. Peiople do moan about the uninspired loot in Apex but to me that is actually a positive thing as I think it shows respawn were far more concerned with crafting a decent game than they were with selling loot boxes.
My guess is that EA gave Repsawn the minimum resouces required to support the game after release (keeping the servers running, debugging and fixing driver breakages etc.) but not the kind of manpower it would take to devise, code and testi mportant gameplay and system updates. I'm sure Respawn are aware of many of the complaints from the community and problems with the game but simply don't have the support, manpower and resouces to tackle it.
Either way, I think Respawn have done an amazing job with Apex, and I really blame 99% of the problems with the game on EA's bad, neglectful management.
