I agree, the hitboxes are unbalanced as it is. But I don't think they need changing. So many other games have characters with larger hitboxes.... look at overwatch as an example (different genre I know). So for me the solution is one of two things:
- Make the 'tank' characters actual tanks. Give them armour % increase or higher health. 25 health is not enough, if theyre going to be balanced it should be at least 90-100 hp. 25 hp is one shot with most guns and that doesn't make up for the amount of shots missed by comparatively smaller hitboxes.
- Give the larger characters MUCH better abilities. Why is it that all the small ones have the escapes and good tacticals? Its completely backwards and makes very little sense to me. Id personally prefer this option as itll make playing the bigger characters more fun and have more oompf.
Mirage, Bloodhound and Octane all have relatively small hitboxes. They are not female.

According to the numbers i have in mind the hitboxes range from 33 Wraith to 79 Gibraltar, which is simply unfair. They should at least either try to unify it to something like 40-60 and give the big ones more meaningful abilities, or seriously consider a additional damage resistance for non headshots. Btw does anyone know the new sizes for the reduced hitboxes with the beginning of season 1?
