Tired of teammates Stealing items I dib what's the point in having a dib system if someone steals the item u dib and than can pick up.Teammates should not be aloud too pick up items that are already dibb'd unless un dibb'd tired of my loot being stolen what if someone really needed that loot too help keep the squad alive especially in ranked and you decide too be that guy and steal it ?Us ranked players are tired of you trollers and cheaters with your pettiness I'm a hardcore Ranked player level 459 gold 2 working my way up too predator and I have about had it with loot being stolen do to trollers neusince's and cheaters or people who act childish when playing Respawn please consider this as a solution would be kindly appreciated thank you.

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97Yea this would be absolutely terrible solution, sorry. The dibs system is there to tell others you want or need, and to keep it on your visuals. If you play with randoms, obviously some of them will compete to get the same item they want, such as T3 extended mags.Imagine pinging a gun / ammo on the ground, ally dibs it & is far away, then you run into an enemy, clean out all your ammo, and can't pickup said gun / ammo because it was "dibsed". Or someone ping a mastiff, you dibs it, you get downed because surprise, and ally can't use it now, enemy snags it and suddenly you have a close range mastiff wielding opponent. While those situations are a bit niche, they are just examples of "what could happen" with such a broken system.A more selfish one is, you could also potentially find the hopup for said gun a little down the way, and suddenly you can't change your mind and use the gun with the hopup.

Going to necro a thread? Ok. Calling Dibs doesn't mean you own an object and people need to stop using it so freely. If we both badly need an item and I'm closer to it then you have no right to claim it.Maybe your situations are different from mine (teammates calling dibs on an item while being further away) but any solution you come up with that makes your situation better makes mine worse. Being able to negatively rate your teammates also wouldn't fly in this game given how quickly people get fired up about their team doing something that they personally feel is "wrong."

I can completely understand your frustration. As a veteran player myself, It's... disheartening every time a teammate trolls me OR another teammate ONLY to sow distrust and cause a losing match. My highest rank was Diamond, season 4, and let me tell you... some matches; It may be easier to go it alone. Personally I only play with randoms, and yeah, common courtesy isn't always present. Dibs system can be really good for random players though! Well... only when players respect each other.

@JACKTH3R1PP3R97 Also, I don't think you'll make it to Predator, if you are in Gold now. You'd have to reach through Plat and Masters in record time, as the season is getting close to ending.

Here's a solution that might work & discourage discourteous gamers. If they pick up an item dibbed by someone else, they automatically lose their most valuable item & can no longer pick that up.
Example: Someone pings a purple sniper scope. Your teammate picks it up, but they were wearing a gold shield. Guess what not anymore! And now you can pick up their shield because they took something you dibbed.

@Lord_Scorpion34 I think we should not add the dib punishment into the game.

As there are so many exceptions that you accidentally / have to grab the pinged item that does not belong to you (or you don't have a thing to lose). The result is that you may lose in a battle due to this system.

This kind of bad manner must be punished, but I think punishing them during the game is not a good idea. Instead of this, allowing player to report them after the game is a better choice (resulting a ban for those bad manner people). This can be also be done on those who are available to rescue you but instead they just let you die and loot your death box (although I have never experienced or done this). To solve the problem of human resources, I think importing the system to let player speculate recordings of reports would be a good idea (I remember there is a same system called "overwatch" in CSGO). I think this is a good idea to reduce those bad manners and ban hacks in the game.

@heme725 I bet you're real fun to play with. By your logic we should just toss out the dibs system altogether. Because what's the point of having an "Honor System" if you're not going to be honorable???

And to answer @xx_MIku831_xX you could lose the game regardless because if a teammate takes something someone else dibbed what's to say they're gonna help you when you're in trouble?

I feel it's not only discourteous but disrespectful to your teammate to take something they already called dibs on. So if we're not going to teach players to be more respectful by penalizing them for it, just get rid of it.

@Lord_Scorpion34Just bunch of things can be happened in the game, especially when you are landed in a crowd and need to fight in a early stage. Out of ammo, armor / weapon swap are very common in that situation. I am quite sure that stealing things can be helped in the fight, changing the entire result of it. And I am sure that you have faced these kind of situations before, and you should not be mad of them as they need to do that. (Really, if you are still mad in this situation, then that is your problem)

I agree that we should teach people don't grab the dibbed things if unnecessary, that we should punish them, but not in a match. As the system you mentioned is not beneficial to the team.

@Lord_Scorpion34 Your response irritated me but I guess that's because you misunderstood what I typed. If we're in a situation where we both need an item equally then I believe it should go to the closer player. Calling dibs on an item that both of you need but you're further away from is a selfish move in my opinion.
I understand being upset if you dibs an item that gets taken by a player that doesn't need it. That's also selfish but the solutions we have here will still punish an innocent player.
Respect is about more than having others acknowledge your claim. Your team may need those items just as much as you so don't lay claim on every good item you see.
I'm not saying you play that selfishly but I've seen player dibs items that their teammates desperately needed to survive.
