game availability on Steam + PC availability on Microsoft Store beside XboxONE

issues I generally face with Origin and why I prefer the game on steam or on Microsoft store instead of Origin?

see here is the thing origin is not as user friendly as a client its almost like any other game center that comes standalone and does not track how many hours a user has put in. i asked about steam cause it does have that feature and it is easier to access the local files plus easier on updates and to play. no account issues or any hacking. as for microsoft store i asked because the easy part is it does not ask for any admin permissions to play it on any pc unlike the origin client when launching. plus xbox achievements are not necessary but with microsoft store there is no issues with account or hacking since the game folder where local files are stored are locked by default. Bloodhound is my favorite character and no i dont have the set as i cant play the game through origin and thats why i asked about steam and microsoft store PC availibility since i am not goign to buy an xbox one console since playing on controller is way different from keyboard and mouse.

it wouldn't matter to me about starting a fresh in-game account and progress if the game does become available on steam or Microsoft store PC playable

certain your game will never have PC availability on Microsoft store and will never be on steam, well thats just sad as it cuts out the users that could have joined your servers from any computer or country and would have had a harder time hacking. but i do know that the game does have its own anti hack software implemented still the local game files should never be edited right. I get that EA loves its own control over the Origin launcher as a game center but there are points where it comes off as inconvenient sometimes.

  • I guess the difference with Origin is that you also have the Origin Access Basic and Premier subscriptions which use a 'vault' to offer games. So it makes sense for EA to make their games exclusive to Origin. The exceptions would be games such as For Honor which is from another publisher (Ubisoft). You also have in game items and currency which I expect EA prefers to keep at the point of purchase. It makes the whole retail process simple and focused. I remember being taught about added value and how keeping as much of your costs in house as possible meant you didn't have to worry about cash being outside the company. Keeping everything in house means you have far more control over costs so that suppliers and middlemen aren't the ones making money plus you aren't kept waiting for payment either. Origin is a bit clunky though but so are Steam and Uplay. I know what you mean about Microsoft Store though. Because it's part of Windows it feels holistic in some ways. Sorry if this wasn't necessarily the reply you were looking for. 🤓
