Gold Armor

I think gold armor is still a bit too powerful compared to the other gold equipment. I believe a less overpowered effect (that would keep it viable and coveted) would be to have it restore full shields on a knock rather than it's current perk. Just my opinion, pls no hate me.

that's really OP, It would make third-partying nigh impossible.

@mr_peanut403 Yes I know. I want that. However the effect is only as good as the player and the team in a 3v3, 2v2 scenario. The gold armor enables sloppy play due to how easy it is to heal and regroup after making a bad play. Maybe it would be more balanced if it was on elimination instead?

@SpaceHamster1991 That might make it too easy to 1v3 or something. I don't know, but it seems just a little too strong.

I mean the gold armor also enables 1v3s as well and its effect comes into play whether you are winning or losing a fight. Maybe fifty shields on knock instead of one hundred. It would dissuade third parties, but like I said, that would be the point of it. Currently getting into a fight that last longer than like thirty seconds means getting third partied by multiple squads.

@Sir_Named It might also benefit thirsty non-meta character play styles like Bloodhound, Revenant, Octane (it would also benefit wraith and pathfinder, but the 50% heal increase does that as well) and give an incentive to be more aggressive in ranked, while not devaluing trap characters. I also think it would be better balanced with the evo shields, as some characters would prefer the 25 extra health (like Crypto, Lifeline, and Wattson), some characters could go either or (like Gibralter, Caustic, and Bangalore), and some characters just really need a buff (like Mirage).

@SpaceHamster1991 It would be a more situational body shield. Some situations it wouldn't be as good, whereas in others it'd be better.

@Sir_Named Yes I suppose so. In theory having it heal 50 shields on knock would reward smart aggressive play and good aim instead of alleviating bad decisions or a losing fight with the fifty percent heal.

Whoops, I made a bad decision and accidentally ran into a camping squad. I should probably run away, because I am now down to 100 health nearly instantly.

@SpaceHamster1991 This would break the game even more, You knock someone > full shields, you let them res, knock > full shields. This would completely destroy the point of shields in the game..

@MoNosDirtyGamingWell I had knocked it down to 50 shields a knock in subsequent posts...Plus this revive knock scenario that your painting sounds a little farfetched. Play in casual with sbmm or ranked and most of the teams aren't going to feed you easy knocks/eliminations off of unsafe revives.
