@Leo_the_Lion25 The calculation of tournament points is almost the same as the competitive mode in Apex. They are same that you get points when you kill someone, and a position point is given according to your team position in the match.
My idea is that the point should be added to the team who down them if the gold knockdown users are not being revived by their teammates (or themselves) even the team who downed them has been eliminated by third party, it prevents the third party to get the killing points from both of the 2 teams (as they did not do anything to down one team). It is just basically change the rule of the game to solve the problem.

According to the its official rules (https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/apex-legends/compete/overview/rules), I will abstract it here:
D7. Scoring & Tiebreakers (Majors 1-3 only)
● At the end of each Match, Teams are awarded points for their placement and the Team’s total
number of kills (“Match Score”). The points awarded in each Match are:
o Placement
▪ 1st: 12
▪ 2nd: 9
▪ 3rd: 7
▪ 4th: 5
▪ 5th: 4
▪ 6th, 7th: 3
▪ 8th – 10th: 2
▪ 11th – 15th: 1
▪ 16th – 20th: 0
o Kills
▪ 1 for each kill
● At the end of each Round, a Team’s total points will include the Team’s Match Scores for all Matches in that Round (“Round Score”).
That is how tournament works. Golden Knockdown Shields aren't getting reworked. They got removed from the Pro Scene completely. This is huge and the ending circles will actually reward the teams who won their fights. Teams about to get better placements and kills and no more bull crap from a golden revive shield preventing their points and placements from being earned.
And finally no more luck winning with a revive shield and the storm killing everyone who isn't knocked.
