How loss forgiveness should work?

Does anyone really have any idea how loss forgiveness is supposed to work because it feels so random... If its cancelled when you get points its totally wrong. Someone leaves and instead of quitting yourself you manage to get TOP10 or get kill/assist its still huge slap to the face lose RP(At least in Diamond its 38RP). IMO you should get it every single time when your score adjustment starts with "-". This wouldn't be a huge problem but for some reason leavers/disconnects happens to que with me all the time so its starting to * me off a bit...

It is set up the correct way. If one team member leaves you match you will receive a 48 point loss prevention in diamond which is enough to cover your buy in.if you superceded the 48 point and went pos. Being a duo you will still gain your points. If it states you recieved loss prevention and you still lose points your game is bugged but I have never had that issue.
