No shotgun in the game should be able to shoot FIVE TIMES in 2 seconds. Yes I have the clip. Just remove all shotguns. they dont belong in this game. The WHOLE point of this BR is a long TTK. Guns do little damage with little mags. You HAVE to have accuracy. Not shotguns. 5+ bullets in the mag, esp the eva with 8 bullets. Remove shotguns or heavily heavily nerf them especially the eva. take bolts out and reduce the ammo in the mag so you force them to hit their shots or die. Tired of players missing 80% of their shots but land 1 good shotgun shot. Its not how this game is designed. Tired of losing to trash can players with evas that miss but can still get the kill BECAUSE YOU PUT TOO MUCH AMMO IN THE MAG

Does apex really ends on submachine guns?
You can always change the weapon and range of combat instead of getting so close to the enemies. I usually try to notice, what kind of weapons they have.
I hit diamond in the first split of season 8, later i lost a bit of interest and played less.
If you start to use it frequently, you will see, that it isn't overpowered. You will rarely hit for full damage, unless someone stands still, or is distracted and shoots at one of your teammates. This is something what you can and should use.

Never. Devs obviously promote close combat against anything else in this game 'cause it's cool. It's imbalanced as hell, but we are just peasants. Nowadays you only find shotguns in the lootpool, nothing else. More likely to find a golden item than a 2-4x, 'cause respawn does not give a damn about anything else than shotguns
@BenchwarmerbrewHonestly I don’t think the eva 8 is that broken, its basically the same shotgun it always has been but they might of buffed it to compensate for removing double tap
I do have to say that shotguns in general do not belong in the BR Genre, they do way too much damage too fast and it was even worse on Fortnite because 1 headshot would instantly down you with a pump shotgun
Shotguns are not as bad in Arena but I don’t think Shotguns and LMGs belong in the Arena because of how easy they are to use and 1 v 3 the entire enemy team with they need to be rebalanced for a 3 v 3 mode and BR in general

Well in the "Exposing The Secrets Of An Apex Legends Game Dev | Apex Uncut # 5" video on Youtube, the Dev admitted that Respawn knows the Eva-8 has been intentionally strong for a long while now. So they're probably going to nerf it in Season 10 seeing how popular it is now.

eva8 up to blue armor (or purple if he took 2 damage beforehand)

shotguns can deal damage in an instant.
you can shoulder peek.
you dont have to be 100%accurate.
peekers advantage is a thing.
you can 2 tap most people since nobody is at full health all the time.
no tracking required.
no flick accuracy required (compared to wingman or sentinel).
ammount of shots to take 1 person down is like 40-60 percent of your mag.
with most other guns you have to hit at least 70%of your shots (smg s and ar s almost need a whole clip to down + you have to expose yourself to your enemy while shooting full auto weapons)
you can jump around like crazy with shotguns and you only have to be roughly on target to get at least 40 damage as long as you are somewhat close. (octane ,wraith, pathfinder, revenant, valkyrie are the kings of shotguns just travel huge distances very quick and 2 pump your opponents).
or play gibby and you cant be downes by most guns (without attachments) in one clip so if you have a shotgun as gibby there is almost a guarantee that you will win the 1v1 since the other person has to reload or switch weapons.
even if they have a lmg your ttk is still faster.
shotguns dont require any attachments to deal high damage and you can go to cover while you rechamber.
you can hipfire every shotgun very effectively while still abusing the crazy strave speed.
go on yt look for apex clips get pen and paper and write down how many of those people were killed by shotguns then compare it to any other gun class or just look at the specific weapon itself.

you get respawned and find a pk on the floor and you can still win the fight against a completely stacked opponent since you have to hit 40%of your shots on red evo while you cant be hit as long as there is cover. and you dont really have to reload since you can wipe almost a full squad without reloading.
i dont really like the real life comparison but… shotguns were banned from many wars because they were inhumane … i guess you can rip a basketball sized hole in a person with one shotgun shot so i see why other games make them a 1 pump since they try to achieve realism BUT in real life it only takes 1 pistol headshot and you are dead.

well apex doesn't really try to be realistic with health or damage but still …why can the pk 2 tap and you need 9 headshots with a p2020???
if you want to win you have to have a shotgun.
there is no reason to play any other gun since they are * compared to shotguns.

the whole game is just who gets the shotgun first and it has been like this for a very long time and i rarely see people enjoying the shotgun meta. it is just so braindead.
and then the devs are like nah shotguns and lmgs need to be more powerfull? and that * happens every season... i dont even know who enjoys playing shotguns and lmgs... i dont but i have to in order to win?
please i want balancing and not the same * weapon meta as in season 0 and thats the worst thing you just constantly make the same mistakes again and again and again…
i want the outcome of the game to be determined by my skill not what weapon i find!
