R-99s are the real cancer in this game... Any half-wit is able to melt thru any level armor in a few seconds, even at over mid-range.
The problem isn't the shotgun, its people not wanting to have their trite R-99 or Alternator game squashed by a better weapon.
Even in arenas, it takes time to kill with a shotgun, and accuracy is indeed a factor... Its a slow rate of fire, slow to reload, and no where near the threat of an R-99 or Alternator at the same range or further.
Easy answer... Get a shot gun or don't go rushing in with your cracked pea-shooters.
It's a battle royale game in case you did not notice it. As mentioned above, with lots of mobility enhancer abilities. Not getting in close quarters combat is like don't fight with weapons, just your fists. Sometimes it can work, but most of the times it won't. This shotgun problem is way out of hand, and yet they plan to put the spitfire in the CP. Feels like EA has no clue what they are doing... Biased AF
