Pls let me know i have no idea...
There are 3 scenarios
1: I have a shotgun + my enemy doesn't
= I win 90% of the time (because i succ sometimes)
2: both have a shotgun
=~50-50
3: enemy has a shotgun + i don't
= i lose 100% of the time (because i get 2 taped)
So here is the question:
How do i counter shotguns?
-what guns should i use
-what tactics
-how can i prevent getting 2 tapped
Only serious answers pls
(No positioning tips pls... its a movement game...)
@Mortal-san Use cover, breaking line of sight and increasing the distance between you and the enemy. Movement will help you dodge some shots against less skilled players but is less effective against good players.
You don't want any positioning tips...why? If you want to win a close range fight against a competent person with a shotgun, obviously it's really hard without some solid positioning. If, according to your 3rd scenario, you lose 100% of those encounters, then my serious answer is to either have a shotgun yourself or get a better position to fight this enemy. Sorry if this isn't the answer you're looking for.
@Solim66 unfortunately not...i don't want positioning tips because its obvious that he cant hit you if he can't see you (/if he is not in range). However if you can't see him you can't hit him....
One step back ... usually every gun has a counter ...sentinel -> charge rifle -> bow -> lmgs -> shotguns
However imo the shotguns always end on top because you can basically shoulder peek for 100 damage with close to no risk and literally 2-3 tap ppl
Its simply not possible to play any spray gun against a shotgun because by the time you dealt 40 damage you lost 100 hp and the enemy is back behind the corner...
Also positioning is simply not the answer in a game where you can 3 stack jumppad/gravity lift on someone. (Or slingshot grapple tapstrafe)

Also my positioning is very good ...for me the limiting factor is my aim (i miss sometimes)
