I'm sure most of you have heard this, but you can just camp outside the ring as lifeline and pop meds until the enemies die. A pretty efficent strategy, but really boring. You can brag to your friends how you have won so many games by covering in fear in some corner, doing nothing and waiting till you're the last one left. He had already used 15 medkits before he even started recording.So here's how this strategy could be patched out of the game:After the final round, make another ring start rapidly closing in.Make the other ring instantly kill.Give it around 10 - 20 seconds until it fully closes.Some pros of this idea:Would give the other squad a chance to win, if they just have a medkit to heal in the final round.Would force the camper squad to push into the other players.Would be pretty easy to implement as well, just copy/paste the previous ring code and increase the damage to kill instantly.And there, how to patch out the most annoying strategy in the game without affecting the gameplay experience of others at all.

This is not a valid strategy. I am a lifeline main who plays with randoms I have 120 wins over 2k kills for the season and missed over 1-month of the season. If you think it's a free win I suggest you try playing lifeline and see how many times you fail before you actually win attempting this.I have spent a long time out of the ring, but by the time the 3rd one closes you take a lot of damage so much so it's very hard to even get med kits off.What is required for this to be pulled off.1) Good luck at the start of the game. GEAR- FIRST ROTATION, SECOND ROTATION and so on -FORCED FIGHTS BY OTHER TEAMS.1) The other teams near the end being completely clueless. (VERY RARE) Almost always the last couple teams are very smart players.2) A mass amount of med kits (You mentioned Phoenix kits, but they are not viable at all for this strategy they take the longest to use and DON'T STACK so they waste bag space. 3) Fast healing back pack.4) Teammates who understand the objective so they feed you gear and don't draw unnecessary attention to you.5) And finally a lot of people are not aware of this but if there are two teams left and 1 team does not touch the zone before it closes and the other team is already in it THE TEAM ALREADY IN THE ZONE AUTOMATICALLY WINS.6) People inside the zone can shoot out side of it. So you sit there taking a ton of damage 3 players will find a way to at least poke you or attack you out right eventually.7) This is not a issue. Just attempt it and you will see how foolish of a strategy this really is. It's better to learn to fight anyways. If you can fight you can win almost any game. I have won solo several times after my teammates left. Easily dispatching the final team of 2 or 3. It's really not that hard if you have good game sense.

While inventive, I agree, it's a degenerate strategy that's not fun for anyone involved.However I definitely wouldn't want either Lifeline's Q ability, or passive heal altered.A better solution would be to have damage outside the circle ramp up the longer you're outside, and the further outside you are; up to 2 or 3 times the current value.That'd be sufficient to nullify Lifeline abuse, without impacting the normal instances of being outside the circle.

It dont need patching! Its very hard to pull, you need gold backpack, a LOT of meds, luck to you stay alive until end, it happens maybe once in 1000 games, and if you did , it is kinda achievement!

I'm sorry, but I thought the whole point of the ring closing in this game is to bring people closer together so they could fight?

And then you have people hiding on the other side of the map as Lifeline, spamming health drones and medkits for 20 minutes so they could win without actually having to fight.

Kind of goes against the whole point of the game, don't you think?

In a recent check in information was released about "piggy-backing" and measures which may be taken against players who don't properly participate in the match.
I'm not saying that the behaviour you describe would necessarily be in this category, but anyone doing it may want to consider what was said:
"PIGGY-BACKING
Piggy-backing is when a player drafts off other players in the squad to carry them to a good position and level up faster but doesn't actually participate in the match [meaning they never collect a weapon, fire a shot, don’t deal any damage, etc]
We had been seeing some feedback from players around this and have been doing some internal investigations looking at game data to understand how many of the matches being played are affected by this behavior.
After looking at the data and internal discussions, we’ve decided that in the future we’ll start instituting temp bans for players that exhibit piggy-backing behavior and extreme cases could lead to a permanent ban. This change will not be immediate but wanted to give a heads up to players so you can adjust that behavior."

That's the thing. You don't have to.
Just have your teammates gather enough medkits, phoenix kits or syringes for you, find some cozy spot near the edges of the third ring, and start spamming healing drones and medkits when the ring closes in on you.
And when the final round closes the ring completely, the other team starts to slowly die. And unless if they have Lifeline and a whole bunch of medkits, you automatically win, since they have no way of knowing where you're hiding.
And if they do have Lifeline, it will be a competition of who has the most healing items, which will be you, since your squad spent the entire game looking for medkits.
It is so stupid and overpowered at the same time, which is why I recommended this patch.

doesn't have to be that complicated to patch out........just have her health drone "short out" outside the ring.....

if you want to be nitpicky....what's not legitimate about lifeline camping for the win, nothing in the rules to win besides "be last one standing"

Or the damage per second could be higher the farther you are from the safe area-- especially after the second ring onwards.

This way it'll be harder for a lifeline to camp away from where the players are.

Another thing about this is that bots use this to farm XP-- to what end I'm not really sure. Probably to sell XP farmed accounts so they're not likely to be banned while using cheats.
