They added the Devotion which is too strong in its current state and they also made changes to the shields hence a faster ttk. That has nothing to do with people wanting the R99 in a care package rather than altering ttk and swapping it for a weapon that should of been altered upon putting it on the floor.
From what I understand now the Devotion, Volt, Havoc, Mastiff, Hemlock, Prowler and the Flatline are now all OP. Work that out for yourself, thats almost a quarter of the weapons that people have said are op after patch.
I agree the Devo is too strong but crying that the R99 is now in the supply drop is just weak. The shield changes aren't a good move imo and again I agree but that would be the same if the 99 was in or out anyway.
When it settles down and people have played a bit the volt usage will drop and I'm pretty sure they will nerf the devo, after that I think the game will have more variety in weapon use than post patch.
All assault rifles are still viable, the snipers are now more viable and personally I still think a buff to the Alternator would be a good thing.
At least I don't hear brrrrrrrrr (R99) every god damn game.

@LordloshBangWanting the R99 in the care package was OK. The problem is when and how they replaced it.

At least I don't hear brrrrrrrrr (R99) every god damn game.No it was not okay to replace it. The game was in almost perfect state as far as weapons balance goes. So what exactly did you expect to happen ? It was close to the brain when you move R99 to the CP, you have to gave something back, and Devotion was the only non-sniper non-shotgun weapon in there. Or you did not think about that ?
Devotion will always be OP weapon, just like PK, so now matter what you did with them, they will be OP.
You wanted a meta change, because R99 was too powerful, was it really? NO it wasn`t. And now people can see it truly. I have never ever die in a no time by R99. I have always have reaction, and a change to shot back and win the fight. I could heard its sound, and see the bullet, and with good aim/movement to beat any R99 users(except for cheaters and some macro users ofc).
Now its a mess, and its a mess, because alll the people that were complaining about the R99 being too strong.
So just enjoy the mess you are at now.
And there is no change this game will ever have such a good balance between weapons pre-season 6. ZERO.
- 5 years ago@LordloshBang Haha, im enjoying it, its just the R99 cry babies that aren't.
You don't like change, you can't cope with it and when your precious little gun gets changed you post and cry about it.
Adapt and learn or don't play it. The Volt was the replacement for the R99, direct smg swap. The Devotion will get nerfed, guaranteed.
Don't worry in a season or so the 99 will come out of the care package and you can do a little song and dance about it. For the time being it is what it is, we've had an R99 meta for far too long now.- 5 years ago

Check Snip3down twitter. The game is utter trash now. It has nothing to do with R99.
And no i`m not liking the change, just like 90% of the playerbase, so the way i see, we are not the crybaby, but the crybabies are the guy that were getting outplayed and outskilled, and come here and cry for the R99, which was perfectly fine. But you just show how bias you have always been, because you were complaining by being lasered, right now you are lasered like 100x time faster, but your okay with it, so that just prove my point you were just not liking R99 and thats the main reason you wanted to be placed in the CP, which has nothing to do with overall game balance and heatlth.
And it doesn`t matter if they going to fix this stuffs, because they already mess things up and there is no turning back.
You said they would nerf the Devotion, really? Who idea was to put it like that at first place? Why they didn`t think about it, before messing the whole game? This is a bad balancing team obviously.
Yeah they can try to fix their game, but will be too late, and most of the playerbase/pro players that get the views will be long gone.
Enjoy it.
