I was mislead by the official FAQ, looking for Dev response.
Here on the official website's FAQ section: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/games/apex-legends/about/frequently-asked-questions under "Apex Packs" there is this:
How does the Bonus Heirloom set work?
"Apex Legends currently has one bonus Heirloom Set available, which contains three items for Wraith. When a player opens an Apex Pack, there is a <1% probability of an Heirloom Set dropping. Heirloom Set drops do not deduct an Apex Pack from your inventory. Heirloom Sets cannot be crafted with Crafting Metals. A player cannot open more than 500 Apex Packs without receiving an Heirloom set (assuming the player does not own all of the available Heirloom Sets). Once a player owns all of the Heirloom Sets, the player will not be eligible for this bonus until more Heirloom Sets are added to the game."
In the first sentence it says there is currently one bonus Heirloom Set available, which contains three items for Wraith. So after reading the most recent event patch notes about the Lifeline heirloom and it says her heirloom will be added to the regular loot pack pool after the event is over and then reading the above part in the official FAQ, I assumed that if I got my 500th pack before the event was over I'd be guaranteed the Wraith heirloom. But on my 500th pack I was surprised and extremely disappointed to get a Bloodhound heirloom, which is not mentioned in the heirloom section of the FAQ. I understand now that it was written in the Iron Crown event notes that the Bloodhound heirloom would be added to the regular pool after that event, but I never saw that. I know it may seem like it's my fault for not paying enough attention, but when it's written the way it is on the official website under How does the Bonus Heirloom set work? I assumed that was the truth.
I talked to an EA Help representative via live chat and he told me would exchange the heirloom or reimburse me if he had that ability to so, but that I needed to go to these forums so a developer with that ability could see it. So here I am. I would be happy to just exchange the heirloom items if that's possible. I really believe I deserve to be compensated in some way for the ~$500 I wasted because of misleading information on the official website.
