Plat 4 lobby, champions are Apex Pred. The team I just got killed by is ranked 16, 37 and 571 in the world. Not only that, me and my team werent even moving around and this same pred team literally comes out of nowhere and wipes us with 0 audio. I'm standing completely still, no one is shooting and i just get shot at from 10 feet away. I was in that big shed in the train yard on the second story so the only way they couldve made it up there is by zipline but the fact i didnt hear a zip or them land on the roof right next to me proves how you cant fix your gameThe game has been out for a year and you still cant hear footstepsAnd ranked is so screwed you're putting freaking plats up against people who have 70k+ RP

@Benchwarmerbrew If you mean the roof of the big building, i climb ontop of it from the inside all the time no need for a zipline, and in the trainyard some pros know how to even climb the tower to get up to the 4 zipline buildings above in literally a few seconds

@FaIIenAngeI777 How is it that you have all this time to try and reason how a pathfinder appears one foot behind you without a sound, yet you don't actually watch the linked clips in the OP?There are video's in there where the pathfinder did not and could not swing in with a grapple. And even if they do, they should still make the landing sound, which is louder than footsteps btw.This game has legit issue with sound FX not playing, for crying out loud, there's completely silent ring's and respawn ships. But I guess the ships and the storm just grappled I guess.

Not even taken into account the clips linked above. Here is a scenario that just happend. I don't clip and share videos. We were on top of the rail car elevated at trainyard mid game. The one nearest the tunnel going to Capitol City. We were watching a squad making it's way from the big tower in the field to the hut below us. No gunfire or other ambient sounds other than Mirages party boat,(you know a good chunk of the map away, yet still audible) A pathfinder puts a zipline from the rail tracks below between me and my teammate(Started as a duo, because you know that is a mode now.). Without any audio cues we turn around to find a Pathfinder,gibby and wraith behind us without any sound up to this point.So let me be clear, I have and continue to play plenty of other games that require hearing, it is why I have a headset in the first place. The audio in this game has been broken for a long time. It was admitted to early on by the Developer (EA/Respawn) since that time there has been little to no patch notes or updates in regards to this. There are countless threads and video links around showcasing these issues. One of the biggest being how many people have turned to shoot their teammate who is playing wraith?

So, most of the people killing you are normally hackers or "pros". It's just dumb and ridiculous.I shouldn't have to wait 15-30 minutes just to get instantly wiped out by a squad.

@Benchwarmerbrew Never faced any Preds when I was climbing Plat, then again, I haven't played for the last week.

Next season they will be ranked ''Master'', so at least you'll have a new shiny rank badge to enjoy the sight off after getting obliterated by the pro's :D

I got matches all the time with preds while in plat on my other account. Respawn doesnt know how to balance a game

I am going to assume diamond lobbies are pretty empty. I know I stopped playing ranked in diamond because of the constant barrage of predators in every game. If trying to make the climb to diamond I feel for you. Since it is last weekend I am sure there are plenty of preds trying to climb the ranks. Me I just gave up trying diamond. Predator games without the cool badge.

What's happening in ranked is precisely what SBMM will cause in casual too; if you match predators against just diamond, diamonds will simply stop playing.
If you drive away diamond-tier, the burden of playing against predators then falls upon platinum. Repeat.
It's a classic runaway cascade failure scenario, and it's going to cause the death of Apex.
The only solution I believe in, is no match making; that way the burden of the predator population is spread amongst the entire population of the game.
Another less desirable approach would be to reduce the effect of the high skill ceiling weapons, abilities & combat mechanics, and increase the impact of luck dependent aspects.

@TheJumpingJawa honestly this seasons Predators are just last seasons diamonds, plats and even some gold, with the way everyone is force quitting its so easy to get to pred. I got to diamond the first month where there was a few preds in all my cues climbing through the ranks. I took 2 months off for a new job came back and now there is 18,000 predators, no where near as many last season.

If there was any reason to feel predator isn't worth the grind it is that. I mean you can solo que to predator alone. That's a problem. Also Diamond cue now is 150-200 people in my area around Dallas in the evening. If it takes me a while its probably because im solo queing and getting paired with plats playing with diamonds
