I'm tired 😩

Apex Legends was actually my first game after almost 15 years without owning a console. I tried it for the first time and got completely hooked. For like 3 years I honestly didn’t even need another game, Apex was enough for me.

But now? The game is just not fun anymore. Every match feels like you are fighting someone who is either cheating, a pro player, or someone with way too many hours in the game. I don’t know if the matchmaking is doing some kind of rage baiting system, but it gets to a point where is just unbearable. I get more angry than I actually have fun playing this game. It feels exhausting and sometimes just straight up unfair. The funny thing is, I started playing other games, mostly story games, stuff I never thought I would even like. And I actually have a good time with them. I can sit down, play for a few hours and just relax because the game is not constantly pissing me off or putting me in unfair situations. I used to love Apex, but I don’t feel that anymore. I definitely don’t see myself spending money on this game when the experience is this frustrating.

And honestly, they need to start doing something more serious about cheaters. Ban IP addresses or something, because making new accounts and coming right back should not be this easy. Apex was the game that got me back into gaming after almost 15 years. It’s sad to see what this game has become. It used to be fun, now it just feels like a try-hard grind machine...

  • Unfortunately, it’s true.

You see a low-level account, a Havoc with zero recoil from 200 meters away, and you know exactly what’s going on.

That’s what the game is like.

Or a high-level player on a controller with unreal tracking and no recoil.

That in-game reporting doesn't achieve anything. You only get an email notification after reporting a player for text chat abuse, and nothing else.

  • Nothing here I can disagree with. It got frustrating enough for me that I pretty much shut myself up in Bot Royale. Every once in a while I'll come back out for a round of pubs or ranked. Always a huge mistake. HUGE.

  • Nah...

Apex has always been a try-hard game.

The first day Apex released within hours players were boasting about kill hoarding. I'll never forget a duo I was matchmade with just hours after the game relasesd. During the Legend banner screen they said to me "look at our kills" and then proceeded to chuckle at my lack of kills. We landed Skulltown and they died immediately and backed out. I like playing BR to win, so I kept playing.

The BR aspect of Apex is better than it's ever been. The game just needs to keep evolving and innovating.

The reason I get tired of Apex is because of the lack of variety. Currently, Apex depends to much on the BR aspect and the current Mixtape modes are lackluster.

Apex needs to incorporate robust PvE and Arena modes to better serve its "entire" playerbase.

They literally had to blow up Skulltown because this area of Kings Canyon was too sweaty....
