I've encountered many occasions where I literally can't see an opponent in front of me during close quarter gunfights. Here are two suggestions that could fix this issue:Remove unnecessary effects that obstruct vision (specially that annoying blur). This will improve gameplay drastically during close quarter encounters.Overlay enemies with a clear coloured line (user customizable) only when you aim and shoot enemies at close quarters. This overlay should stay on target only if you have vision of the target and your crosshair is on top of him. There should also be a countdown period of 500-1000 ms after which the overlay should disappear if you stop aiming at the target.

I got the same problem, first i though my tracking is as bad as it can get untill i did some training in another game and noticed it was not as bad as i tought.Now when i found this post i did try to reduce my graphic setting down and pretty much just went with the lowest possible settings except "model detail" witch i keept at high.After a few games i noticed i had a much easier time tracking and hitting even in close combat.

@Balladalidila Just out of curiosity, I checked my old posts in this forum and, after reading your answer, I could not hold myself to respond.My tracking is way above average (https://youtu.be/_m6RFQCFyFw), so please, don't patronise me xDI don't know the current state of the game and I could not care less because I stopped playing it one month after its release. But the muzzle flash back then was stupidly annoying. The iron sight should not be an excuse because it renders the weapon pretty much useless.Improving visibility does not dumb down the game. That is a ridiculous statement.

Looks to me to be fine.. the only times he "disappeared" was when your ADS'd gun was covering him because of both recoil and him crouching.

i get that issue a lot of the time. But mostly that happens when you have no scope and a bad graphic card. I advice you to not use right click in close range. If there was a clear crosshair like CS:GO none would use it in that range. Just try to "devour" the position of crosshair.

OP is completely right, I lose all my track when I don't have a scope equipped. I get killed.every.single.time without a scope, it's disgusting.

I struggled to track the guy you were shooting because of the blur effect and plant/tree you were behind, but I'm just not sure if this is a condition of this gun being an energy weapon LMG with big recoil and heat effects coming from the barrel - or a wider graphical issue.
I'd be interested to see this again with a different weapon if you get into that situation again.

I also echo the comment about hip-fire, recently switched to using it at barrel stuffing range and it's saved me a few times.

Lower / tweak your graphic settings.
That blur is weird to be honest looks like poorly processed Volumetric lighting, and you can disable a lot of hut elements to improve enemy visiblity from game menu.
Like numbers for example, they're not really needed are they?

All my settings are at minium/off. There is nothing else to tweak.

PS: I like to have the numbers. They help to keep track of damage dealt and know the type of shield the enemy is wearing.

Agree 10000%. They need to fix this yesterday. It's unacceptable to have flame/weapon model covering entirely the opponent model.
