In Game damage counter not adding up correctly

Hi recently I've been paying more attention to the In Game damage numbers and I've noticed they don't add up AT ALL.

I have one of  this situations recorded fortunately where right at the beginning of the game I headshot someone with a Sentinel (lucky shot...I hate that weapon) and the number that comes out is a yellow 129, but my In Game damage tracker only reports 87. It's been happening with any weapon though.

Any idea why this is the case?

Now that i took noticed I see this happening in almost every game I play.

If it was a killing shot, that probably happened because the damage number that pops up on your screen always shows the weapon types full damage and not the amount of damage it did to the enemy. So if you headshot an enemy with 1 HP with the Kraber, the number on your screen will show 435 but you will get 1 dmg dealt.

@Balladalidila I think they should change the display and show the true damage dealt. If I kraber someone with 1 hp, I still did 435 damage.
  • This is something that comes with apex, i notice it very very often. It is probably server related, with their huge capabilities i can safely say get used to it, it's gona keep happening. ( now that you noticed it you will "see" it more and more because this does happens a lot, most of the times we (players) don't notice it in the heat of the fight)
