It is recommended to let the jammer return to the game

We all know that the gun of this season's Alternator is no longer used. Why? Because it's too weak, and the sniper sentinel is too rotten to charge with batteries. I suggest adding a gold accessory jammer to the sentinel and the alternator. It turns out to be a purple accessory, so we can call back its damage or upgrade it to a gold accessory because there are too few gold accessories now, and this can make R99 not work Again so popular, so that players have more choices in the use of firearms, thank you for listening, I hope you can take my advice, thank you

  • Weapons such as Alternator or RJ45 had Hop Ups that make them competitive but surpassed several weapons, which was good but they consider it OP and unbalanced.

    If thats the Jammer thing your refering to, I think it could come back, the Disruptor Attachment of course. The thing it should only do damage on Shields only and not Health. 

    Just like the actual Sentinel. Which only does damage to shield when Charged. But they at least could make the Shield Battery last always until Bullets are depleted. 

    This could make a very supportive weapons again. Only as you said, if they consider. 

  • @Zenmurone Like I said in the other thread, the disruptor rounds only did extra damage to shields when it was in the game, and was still deemed op.
    They could add it so that you had to use a shield battery, but the process by which it works on the sentinel wouldn't mesh with the alternator.
    They'd have to somehow make an animation for the alternator and re-45 to be charged up, which wouldn't really work as they are too small to have the necessary hardware.

    @Sir_Named The said it was too OP at 2.26 & 1.7 shield damage modifier. What if it was 1.3 or 1.5, and always present as a trait for RE-45 & Alternator?

    They rolled the headshot damage for wingman and longbow into the guns when skullpiercer mod got shelved, why not tweak for the same result?
  • @Monhulio Well, because the skullpiercer was too good in the hands of good/lucky players, but they still wanted to reward good players using those weapons.
    The disruptor didn't need more skill than regular alternator without the hop-up.
    This is my guess.
    They could tweak it an add it into the game as a mechanic for those two weapons, but it's a little unlikely.
  • Disruptors were fun, but way too strong. If they returned now, they'd be even more powerful compared to other weapons, with red armor now being a thing. More shields for the bonus damage to work on. It was fun, but nah, I'd rather not see it return.

    What could be fun instead though... Give Alternator the ability to equip either Double Tap or Select Fire, giving it the ability to shoot BOTH BARRELS SIMULTANEOUSLY, either in semiauto or full auto. Fire rate would be halved, which would keep the DPS intact. This would let it be more versatile, with the double shot adding some long range power. Double Tap would suit this better, but it depends if DT remains for Season 5 or not.

    If you want to talk about a weak gun, the RE-45 could really use some love. Probably the worst fully kitted gun in the game. Even the Mozambique gets hammerpoint at least, though I'd honestly say fully kitted mozzie and RE-45 are about equal. I'd actually like to see the RE-45 being able to equip hammerpoints, but with a much weaker multiplier than the Mozambique/P2020. P2020 gets a 2.7x multiplier vs health (13 -> 35), Mozambique gets 2.27x (15x3 -> 34x3). I think the RE-45 could get Hammers with a 1.73x vs health (11 -> 19), which would put its DPS vs health below the P2020. And if that's too strong, maybe 1.65x (18 dmg).

    Alternatively, make a new Hop-Up entirely. Maybe some sort of stun round that increases the slow on hit when equipped? Really hope it'll get SOMETHING with Season 5.

    And a little off-topic, but... Mozambique should have a 6 round mag. Period. Doesn't even need anything else, since it has access to Hammerpoints, and it'd bring it out of meme status.

  • @RedpawsQ I actually really like your alternator idea.
    Although I'm not sure they'll buff the RE-45 or the Mozam, as they're kind of supposed to be weak.

    I think the stock RE-45 is fine. Just wish it had more oomph when fully kitted. Hammers with a weaker effect could give it a nice niche without just straight up buffing it for every situation. Again, only alternative would be some completely new Hop-Up, since I don't think any other Hop-Up would work as is. I mean, the P2020 was TERRIBLE at launch, and now it's a very viable choice, as long as you get the Hop-Up. I want something like that for the RE-45 too.

    Even with 6 rounds in the Mozzie, it'd still be significantly worse than a Wingman (same damage, more spread, really slow projectiles, only a quarter of the ammo per stack) unless you have Hammerpoints. But at least it wouldn't be a complete joke then. I'd say it would make it slightly stronger than a naked P2020, but only up close.
