Knockdown shield vs no knockdown shield

Knockdown shields are a topic that a lot of players are kind of mixed on. Sure they CAN save your life, but other than gold, how many of them do save your life on average? I’d like to make a game mechanic/ loot suggestion. 

If you have a knockdown shield equipped it activates as it normally would. However, if you do NOT have a knockdown shield equipped, and have a pistol (p2020, re-45, wingman, or Mozambique) equipped, you should be allowed to use that pistol to fight. 

The reason i suggest this is because other than getting hit by a sniper, a standard white- purple has never seemed to help as they can throw a grenade, walk beside you, or just execute you, usually with little to no fear of getting hurt themselves. In addition if one person in trios get knocked they often just rush and kill other teammates anyways. This mechanic would help keep them pushed back and even let you finish the job if you did substantial damage before going down. It would also increase the usage of the p2020 and the Mozambique.

    @GuardianReaper0 When you were down you were able to kill people while they were paying attention to your teammates. It was so OP and not fun to play against. I would say if you had a pistol and your down you shouldn’t be allowed to reload it and you shouldn’t get any of you hop ups, mags, bolts, and whatever else other then scopes. Also wingman shouldn’t be allowed either. I could imagine downing someone then they 1 shot you with the wingman. The thing is already op enough.

    Ok, I can agree on no wingman. Otherwise still get all attachments, SLOWER reload, and no ADS?

    @GuardianReaper0Yes I could agree on slower reload, I was thinking mostly about people who have hammer points. That could be painful. Imagine knocking an enemy and you have 100 hp. Your knocked with him before you know it and he could finish you as might not have a pistol.
