With the introduction of a leave penalty in game it is clear Respawn have no idea how to fix an issue created by them self.Leave penalty is too easily abused and fails to actually deal with the core issue but punishes people placed in the middlePlayers will be seen as abandoning games if they leave before the match is over for them - including in character select, leaving while alive, or leaving when you are dead but can still be re-spawned by teammates.First,It is honestly a joke that Apex wants to punish you for leaving when atm you are getting kicked or booted in 8/10 games be in at the start, just after character select or mid game. Ive had many game where people will simply let you die. Like there half a foot away doing nothing but looting and will ignore you just to loot your dead body. They pick up your banner but never even attempt to respawn as there only grabbing the banner so they can look your box. This then forces me into a point of I have to watch up to 20 minutes of game play with no ability to play and no chance I will get respawned. It also forces me that if I die in a position where my team refuse to come and get the banner to wait until both timers run down.Honestly its a glorified griefing tool. Let your team mate die pick up his banner and force him to be stuck in game till you all die. Stupid honestly and a clear lack of thinking.Third and Final,This whole issue stems from one issue. No solo or Duo que in Apex. Many of the top streamers and largest players have stated this lack of game modes is killing the game. Before even adding a penalty you first have to give people the option especially in when unless your Shroud you have next to no chance winning solo vs a 3 stack. This game is loosing players on a daily basis and instead of fixing servers, adding content, giving us solo and duo queues. NOP we are going to punish people instead of adding actual needed updates.To the people complaining about people leaving. Create a team if you care so much. It takes like 2 minutes to get a squad on the many LFG sites. This has largely been fixed. I have not had any kicks or .net or .leaf errors recently. Given the penalty was not active for much of Season 2 ranked, and will only come into effect for Season 3 ranked. This likely won't be an issue. While this had been fixed to some extent respawn themself still admit there is problems. While I will say as of now its like 1 in 10 instead of 8/10. However the question is does a DC count as leaving? If not then the punishment is easily bypassed just by closing the app or dropping connection so you get DC.
Respawn Banner Pick Up,
It is also many others experience to so I am not flamming the flames there already burning strong. While you may risk the banner pick up many people dont even try. In 10 games today I have had 1 team pick up the banner.
Want to know why they picked up my banner? To loot my stuff and never respawned.

Your reply is honestly just a fan boy comment. You gave no actuall input to the issue just your OWN experience. The same thing you complain about me for. You failed to address the concerns other than flamming saying how im wrong and its my own fault. However there is many reports and people who experience the same things.
The punishment fails to deal with the core issue. Let respawn show some stats on how often solo players get respawned. I can guarantee its under 10%. I have clips of team mates letting me die just to loot when I go solo.
Punish players for leaving at the start of match I agree with. However punishing players who dont wish to watch people run around for 20 minutes with no intention of respawning is ridiculous in a game thats already loosing huge amounts of players.

1. No confirmation we wont be punished. Plus looking at respawns history I have np confidence until I see it.
2. Honestly I doubt you very much. If you had even said one in 10 games I could say ok you get lucky. To say ypu pretty much never have a team who dont collect banner and respawn is laughable. Even streamers show normally 1/10 games this happening But you dont? Yeah ok

3. Honestly thats you. Not 90% of the player base when you play solo. I have had god knows how many games im left to die by team mates right next to me. Ive had team mates punch me of ledges(cause why you can knock back team mates i will never understand) just so they can loot me as I had a gold bp or shield.
The issue you fail to actually reply to is how will this affect a game thats alreadying loosing players daily. Hay I can understand in just Ranked. However in pubs hell no.
Now im sure some fool will go "dont play if you dont like it". I more likely wont unless i can find a full squad. So will others and that will mean even more people not playing. Longwr wait times. Less enjoyment and overall a dead game.

The "problem" is entirely created by us players, where some people insist to play it with random people, with random play styles, with random competitiveness, with random experience, and random try-hardness AND with the expectations that these factors will be exactly according to their preferences.
These guys will NEVER be satisfied. If Respawn hypothetically implements a perma-ban the first game you leave, thus solving the "leaver problem" forever, people will come here crying about certain behaviors of your random team mate. "Boho my randoms dont try to pick up my banner or revive me at all times", "my randoms arent skilled enough", "my randoms wont push when I push/snipe when I snipe" "my randoms dont ping and communicate in the manner that Im used to" etc etc.
So there is no solution to this "problem" other than this: get some gaming friends (easiest via Discord I guess).

While you say the problem is created by players I disagree on the basis there is no alternative. Most BR games allow for different amount of players . Normally 4 ,3,2,1. Apex however fails to give this option.
Due to this the only option ingame is playing with randoms. When you take this into account the issue is based on respawn for failing to give basic BR modes.
Next you blame the players however fail to blame respawn. There is no ingame group finder. There is no real way to easily find people of your skill. Inside tthe game.
If respawn wanted to force groups a built in group finder like overwatch has would have been an obvious route.
Also you blame players for being random. Sorry to tell you even in a perfect world people will play there own way. Due to this you are now punishing people who have no alternative and for doing what comes naturally.
Respawn is to blame for the issue 100%. Saying ow well find a group in discord is a ridiculous excuse. When solo and duo is a fixtured game mode then we can talk about suspension and bans for leaving in group matchs. However until these become fixtures the issue is not dealt with.
Remember. If respawn punish you for DC there will be major issues. So respawn have to make DC's imune from punishment. If this is the case it takes even the most computer illiterate user 5 minutws to work out they can easily Dc and skirt the ban.
Next is the issue of griefing. If i thought of ways to abuse people with it so will others. This then creates anothwe issue and doesnt even fix the core issue.
Sorry but this punishment system is a flawed concept by people complaining cause randoms leave. Whats next? Bans for failing to respawn? Suspensions for not picking up banners. Its stupid and people who think this os gpong to Improve the game are seriously mistaken. Expect the player base to drop again once it comes into affext
