Lifeline Rework

I think we can all agree that the primary perks of Lifeline are her fast heal and her hitbox. Her care package can be nice, but is rather limited unless you are ready to fight whoever runs over. Her current drone is next to useless in a game where you never want to stand still.

I know Lifeline players really like the fast heal, but I think the game would be easier to balance if everyone healed at the same speed and they never touched heal speed again.

Perhaps something along the lines of 

- Passive - 

Field Medic: Players revived by Lifeline have all of their health (not shields). Lifelines can still do more than other players when they have a gold shield.

- Healing Drones - 

Lifeline can deploy up to 2 healing drones which tether to the nearest single player and follow them around until they are destroyed, the player is killed, or the ability times out

The care package can probably stay but I still think a more healing related ult would be fitting.

  • This will be too OP. Lifeline is pretty much balanced as of now. She is the third most picked legend ingame. And she is heavily picked in ranked still.

    And i totally not agree that her ultimate is useless. No its not.

    Now with the charge tower, this is a straight buff to Lifeline.

    Lanading on Capacitor and spam Care Package is insanely powerful. You can get like 3x Purple in a no time. 

    Her passive right now its perfectly okay.

    On her tactical i agree - its not a good one. But the following part will be too OP. 

  • @Eurlannd A lot of players (including me) like her passive, it is something very unique. From my perspective I think it should stay, the drone should stay idle so it can't be pushed around. Her shield is pretty nice currently but it could use a buff where instead of just shielding at the front, it should shield as a cone (so shields added above and below lifeline) with the back still being fully exposed, to keep this balanced ark stars should be able to bypass the shield.

    Her ultimate needs a huge buff either by:
    - Reducing the time it takes to receive a package
    - Increase the chance for items you need (by tagging them in your inventory before you call a supply drop down)

    OR THE ENTIRE OVERHAUL OPTION:

    - Change her ultimate completely so it shoots out a radial heal burst, healing lifeline for 50-75HP and her allies for 25 - 50HP. To make it even MORE unique, the player could press options and where the names of allies are (in the bottom right hand corner) only lifeline is able to select if they wish to apply a heal or shield over time to their allies (in game) along with this lifelines ultimate animation could be her reaching into her medic bag and placing 2 syringes on the floor. This of course would mean her ultimate cooldown would have to stay around 180-250s.
